need a roof rack to carry my thule box on 2018 edge. nothing on the roof from factory. i do have the glass roof.

Since your 2018 Ford Edge has a naked roof the type of roof racks we have available use a clamp style that fits into the door jambs. I recommend the Yakima JetStream system. The aero bars do a great job at reducing drag and wind noise. What sets these apart from other aero bars is the SmartFill strips in the t-slots. You don't need to cut the strips to get them to fit around channel mounted accessories. All you do is push down on the strips and slide the accessoy in. The JetStream bars fit on your Edge with the BaseLine towers and fit kit. You need 50 inch bars # Y00425, towers # Y28TR, and both of the BaseClip fit kits # Y06102 and # Y06139.

You can also add locks to the BaseLine towers using Yakima's SKS lock cores, part # Y07204.

Your Thule cargo box will have no problems fitting around the Yakima bars.

I've linked a video that shows the BaseLine towers installed on a 2015 Edge. The crossbars are different but the process is the same as with your 2018. The picture I've attached also shows the same towers on an Edge so you can see how they'll end up looking on yours, but once again the bars are different so keep that in mind.
