Hi Kayak Roof Rack for a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium with Panoramic Roof I have the vehicle described above which also doesnt have the side rails. Can you recommend a roof rack solution that will enable me to carry a tandem Kayak ?

For your 2017 Ford Edge with the glass roof I recommend going with the Yakima JetStream roof rack. This includes the 50" JetStream Crossbars # Y00425 along with the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR, and Fit Kit # Y06102. To lock this roof rack you will also need the SKS Lock Cores # Y07204. This system has a weight capacity of 165 lbs.

The Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073 is one of our most popular carriers that will leave enough room on your roof for you to add another accessory if necessary. You can lock these with the same key as your roof rack if you use part # Y07206 which comes with 6 cores.

If you would rather have a roller system to load your kayak easier from the back then you are looking for part # Y04083-04082. This takes up most of your roof space but does make loading and unloading your kayak easier.

Both kayak carriers mentioned have a weight capacity of 80 lbs per kayak. Please note that you should not try using your panoramic roof with the roof rack installed.
