Question:
Why are the 2 different clip sets #Y06102 and #Y06139 recommended?

Expert Reply:
There are 2 different clip sets recommended for the 2016 Ford Edge with a Naked Roof because one set of clips is needed for the front while a different set is needed for the rear bar. For the 2016 Edge, the BaseClip 102 # Y06102 will be used to secure the front BaseLine Towers # Y28TR and the BaseClip 139 # Y06139 is needed to secure the rear BaseLine Towers. Yakima lists different clip kits for the front and rear towers in order to achieve a more custom fit for the curve of the vehicle's roof.
These clip sets each come with 2 clips and 2 pads so you can install each crossbar with the proper kit. The BaseLine Towers # Y00146 come as a quantity of 4 towers.
If you are interested in the Yakima CoreBar, you will want the 50 Inch Long # Y00421 for the 2016 Ford Edge. For Round Bars you will want the 48 Inch Long # Y00408 and the RoundBar SL Adapter # Y03536. The Jetstream bars for the 2016 Edge are the 50 Inch Long, # Y00425.
