Question:

Hi I was just wondering if you can ship to an APO address? I am currently stationed outside the states and need to order a roof rack. I have a 2016 Ford Edge Sport with the vista sunroof and does not have front-to-back rails. From what I’ve seen on your website Yakima has a system that will work for a roof rack. Let me know what you think will be best. Thank you for your help.

I am happy to tell you that we do ship to APO addresses and there are definitely options for a roof rack with your 2016 Ford Edge Sport that has the glass sunroof.

I highly recommend the Yakima system you asked about using the aerodynamic CoreBar crossbars # Y00421. These are 50 inch steel crossbars that are both highly durable and allow a quieter, more pleasant ride. To install these bars you will need the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR as well as BaseClip Fit Kits # Y06139 and # Y06102. In order to secure your investment you can add the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07204 to your BaseLine Towers to lock them in place.

This roof rack system has a weight capacity of 165 lbs and will allow you to open up the roof on your '16 Ford Edge; the roof would only interfere with rack accessories that had parts which were hanging a few inches underneath the crossbars. I added a link to a video of this rack being installed on a 2015 Ford Edge with a glass sunroof so you can see for yourself how it is done.
