Question:
Hello, Similar question I’m sure you get…… We need to add a cargo box and have limited clearance for my garage. Regardless if box, of which we’d like the most volume, we know it starts with the most low-profile rack/rails. I believe I saw some that mount to the inside of our flush roof rails on the sides of the roof. Can you tell me what is the most low profile that will work with a Thule or Yakima cargo box? Thank you.

The most low-profile roof rack option we offer for a 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV is the Thule WingBar Edge Crossbar System composed of part # TH76FE, part # TH89SC, and part # TH95JW. These aero shaped bars will blend in very well with the vehicle and provide very minimal wind resistance. They will work great with pretty much any cargo box whether that be one from Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, Inno etc.
I recommend first installing the roof rack and then measuring from the top of the crossbar to the lowest point in your garage as you can then find the correct rooftop cargo box for you. The best option for you is likely the Yakima GrandTour Lo Rooftop Cargo Box part # Y46FR which has a very large 15 cu. ft. capacity with a low-profile 10" tall height.
