Today on our 2012 Audi A3, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. The part number for the crossbars we're using is RRVA126B-2, and we're using the SRB Leg Kit here, part number RRSX028. Now we do already have our front crossbar on. We're going to show you how we put the leg kit onto our crossbars and then also how we load that up onto our vehicle, so the first thing we'll do is take our back crossbar. We're going to push the black clamp forward, and just slide the leg kit onto our crossbar. Okay, and with that in place, just going to set it up onto our raised rail system.
Now if we look at the rails, we've got the two holes on either side. We're going to line up the two knobs on our leg kit here with those holes on our vehicle, and with that loosely in place, we'll take our crossbar overhang measurement, just make sure we have an even overhang. Now there isn't a precise measurement for this, but as long as your bars look even on either side, and they measure up about even, you'll be fine, and then we'll just take our end cap and place that on the crossbar. Now to tighten down the leg kit on your raised rails here, we'll just use our little tool, tighten that in, and make sure that it is going into those holes, and as it tightens around the bar, it's going to tighten that crossbar so it won't move, so with that loosely tightened down, tighten down this side as well. We want to make sure that these rubber pads sit right up against that railing. That's what's going to keep that nice and secure against your vehicle, and we'll finish tightening down this side, and we just fit that into place, and then we'll take our locking key, and we'll lock our end caps on each, and that's going to complete our test fit of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars and how they fit on our 2012 Audi A3..
