Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar Installed

Benefits of an Anti-Sway System

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its rear axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.

Roadmaster Anti-Sway Polyurethane Bushings

Superior Construction

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 With In-Bed Camper
Hi Don; the best suspension enhancement for your 2008 Silverado 1500 with that Palomino camper is going to be the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2430. These have a load-leveling capacity of 5,000 lbs and are fully adjustable. The air bags will improve your steering, keep you level, and absorb road shock. Keep in mind, suspension enhancement will not increase the capacity of your truck. If the weight of your camper exceeds the capacity of the truck I recommend getting a different...

  • Best Suspension Enhancements For A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
We do carry a variety of suspension enhancements such as air bags for your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD but all of which are designed to reduce vehicle sag and aid the wear life of current suspension components. None of our suspension enhancements are designed to increase the towing capacity of your vehicle. According to Nada Guides, the max towing capacity of your truck is 10,500 lbs. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this vehicle for towing a 15,500 lb. 5th wheel trailer. Should...

  • Benefits of Timbren Rear Suspension # TFR1525HD versus Sway Bar for 2006 GMC Sierra Extended Cab
Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Systems such as # TFR1525HD that you referenced will provide you a smooth ride when your truck is loaded - until the bed of your truck has sufficient load to take up the 1/2 - 1 inch of spacing between the Timbren spring and the vehicle they do not have much of an effect. You are correct with your spacing assumption whereas the smaller the spacing, the tighter the ride, however, since you are experiencing body roll during normal drive time, your better...

  • How To Determine Correct Rear Anti-Sway Bar For 2008 Chevy Silverado 150
Ok, so I checked with Roadmaster and both rear anti-sway bars are potential fits for your 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, and the correct one to fit your truck will depend on the diameter of your current OEM sway bar. These trucks came with different size anti-sway bars so what you will need to do to ensure a fit is measure your current sway bar's diameter. If it is 1" diameter (which I think is the most likely option), you will need the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1109-176. If you...

  • Comparing the Timbren Springs and RoadActive for 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD with In-Bed Camper
The best option we have for your 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD with truck bed camper is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRTT35S. This system is specially designed for vehicles with truck bed campers and will do an excellent job of providing you with both support and stability. The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS4611 is not really going to give you enough support and would not be a smart buy for your particular application in my opinion.
