Hello neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com, and today we're looking at this Taylor Made marine gas strut for your boat hatches. Now this will fit a 10 millimeter socket and it has a hundred pounds of force. Now this is one gas strut. It's gonna replace one water damaged strut on your boat's hatch.
It extends to ease the lifting of your hatch lid, but yet compresses gently. That way when you close your hatch, it's not slamming that kind of stuff. Now it's got a nice ball and socket installation. Let me zoom in here. So to take your old one off, there's a metal clip here.
You simply pry that up. It'll pop up. And to put it on you simply pop this guy down on the ball of the hatch that you're putting this on. Now this is made of a heat treated steel construction, it's very durable. It's gonna last long, and it's got a nice corrosion resistant coating.
It's not gonna rust even in salt water. It's been tested for many, many hours to make sure that it doesn't do that. Now again, it connects to a 10 millimeter ball socket and from the center of one socket to the center of the other one, it is 23 inches. Now again, the compression force is a hundred pounds. Again, you get one strut with purchase.
Folks, that's gonna do it for this gas strut. I'm Steve with etrailer.com, thanks for watching.
