Video Transcript for Review of MEC RV Gas Detectors - Gas Leak Detection Fluid - MEC78TR

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the MEC Propane Gas Leak Detection Fluid. You're going to get a 16-ounce bottle, and you're going to want to use this to find escaping gases, and visible bubbles will form at any leak. So I should rephrase that. You're going to want to use this to make sure you have no leaks.

Obviously it's a screw-off top, and you can see you have a nice brush applicator here. You'll simply brush this on your fittings where your propane fittings connect. And what you'll not want to see is you don't want to see any little bubbles. So if you do see bubbles, that means your connection is not secure. You need to shut the gas off, revisit that connection, redo it, try it again, test it again with the leak detection fluid here, and make sure there's no bubbles.

This works all the way down to negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit, so it's pretty impressive as far as how it works and the different change in temperatures and stuff. And again, you want to use this on any fitting that you've reconnected, and make sure there's no leaks, that everybody's safe, and there's no accidents. Folks, that's going to wrap up our look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
