Another Happy Customer! Order was placed late afternoon on Monday and arrived Tuesday. Unreal! The bumper hitch and bolts were better quality than expected for the price. I will buy from you guys from now on! Thank you!

by:

I recieved everything sooner than expected. It took very little time to mount these items.I would recomend Etrailer to everyone. Thank You . Paul Schmitz

by:

Well built product , solid construction . I'm definitely satisfied , and thanks for getting the product to me within a week using normal ground shipping !

by:

Exactly what I was looking for to carry a bike rack. This unit is heavily built and I like the sturdy bolts and self locking nuts.

by:

It will do the job I require. One suggestion; there is a set screw thatbisn't shown anywhere and I have no idea whether it should be toward thew vehicle or away fron the vehicle. There's no schematic or diagram indicating placement.
Otherwise it's nicley designed and finished and shipping was very prompt.
Thank you.

by:

As advertised. Sturdy hitch, solid bolts, and lock-tite nuts. Will use it with a bike carrier on a 1600 mile trip starting this week. Will update on my return. So far, it's well with the coin!

by:

haven't used it yet, but it's weight tells the story. -- seems very heavy duty and capable of meeting our needs. service was great -- tracked delivery -- delivery on time. follow-through immediate.

by:

Everything was as advertised. Quality product, easy to install, works great. I used this to attach a Thule hitch mount bike carrier to the bumper of my camper.

Shipping was nearly immediate

by:

Bought this 2" receiver to go on the bumper of my RV. Like most of you know these bumpers don't hold a lot of weight. So before I installed it I took it over to a welding shop and had them reinforce my bumper on both ends and in the center. Installed the receiver and for good measures had him run a couple of beads along side of the receiver so it would be permanent.Don't want it to walk away if you know what I mean. Very heavy duty receiver.Great choice.

by:

Used it to place a bike rack on the back of my trailer, works great, easy connection, clamped on the rear tube of the trailer,

by:

I
Received my order very quickly the
quality of the material for the receiver to go on my camping trailer was exceptional. This is my first purchase with E trailer and I’m sure I will be doing more in the future very satisfied.!

by:

Very pleased with this product it's robust and solid, the bolts and lock nuts are high quality. Ordering and shipping were easy and fast. The part fit perfectly I used some gasket material to protect the bumper, would have liked to have the torque specs on the nuts. I use a Thule bicycle rack and this hitch allows me to bring along the bikes on my 5th wheel.

by:

Hold up well after 160 miles camping trip. Mounted at 4” rear bumper of my camping trailer to accomodate 2 bike rack. I only carry 1 bike for the trip. Solid and well secured using provision screw that you need to tightened once bike rack is mounted to avoid movement when driving.

  • Will the # 64025 Swagman RV 2 inch Receiver Bumper Mount Adapter Mount Underneath the RV Bumper
One option we have for mounting a receiver under the bumper of your RV is the RV Bumper 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, item # E-100. The only problem I see with the location you are suggesting is the distance from the bottom of the receiver to the road surface. If there is not enough clearance the clamp on hitch, bike rack shank or bikes themselves may make contact with the road and damage one or all of the components including the RV bumper. I spoke with my contact at Swagman and was...

  • RV-Rated 2-Bike Rack for 2015 Lance 1685 Travel Trailer
We do offer a range of RV-rated bike racks that can transport your 2 bikes on the back of your Lance travel trailer. The linked page will show you all types, which include hitch-mount, bumper-mount and ladder-mount types. The Lance website does not provide specs for the bumper on their 1685 so you'll want to contact them with your trailer's VIN to confirm the bumper is continuously-welded steel and strong enough to handle the weight of a loaded bike rack. Based on the photos on their...

  • Recommended 4 Bike Rack to Use With RV That is Towing a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
I have a solution for you, but the RV Bumper Hitch Receivers, like part # S64025, are only compatible with the square bumpers like the one in the attached picture. The problem with a dual hitch extender (or any hitch extender), like part # MPG544, is that it reduces the weight capacity of your trailer hitch receiver by 50 percent, so you might not be able to continue to tow your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The Saris MHS Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # SAR95MR, is an...

  • How to Attach a 1-1/4 Inch Hitch Bike Rack to a RV Bumper Hitch
I would recommend to use the Brophy Hitch Reducer, part # HT02. This reducer will insert into a 2 inch hitch receiver on your RV and allow you use your 1-1/4 inch hitch bike rack. It will extend out from the original hitch pin hole an extra 3 inches. Hopefully, an extra 3 inches would not cause you any problems. It comes with a 1/2 inch pin and clip for the hitch accessory, but you will also need a Hidden Hitch 5/8 Inch Pin and Clip, part # PC3 to attach the reducer to the hitch. There...

  • Recommended Travel Trailer Hitch Receiver and Cargo Carrier for Gas Generator
On your Dutchmen Coleman Lantern 17rd travel trailer, I recommend the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 which has a weight capacity of 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. Then for a 4,000 watt running generator like the Q-iPower # 289-AP5000 which weighs 117 lbs and has dimensions of 23-1/4" long x 17" wide x 18-1/2" tall, you will want a cargo carrier like the TorkLift Lock and Load # TLA7752. This will not only help carry the generator but also deter theft. If you want...

  • Recommended RV Bumper Hitch to Transport Firewood
It sounds like you are referring to the RV Bumper 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # S64025. This particular bumper hitch is designed to be used with hitch-mounted bike racks and is not recommended for use with a cargo carrier, as the weight that they will provide is simply too much for the unit to handle. A better option for your application will be with the Curt RV Bumper Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100. This is intended for 4 inch square channel bumpers and can be used with hitch-mounted...

The most common recommendation we make for travel trailers like yours is a multi-fit hitch like the part # 13703. As long as your frame rails are between 22 and 72 inches apart this hitch would fit and work well for you. I attached an install video for you to check out for this hitch as well.

  • Why Wont the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Bike Racks Work On a 5th Wheel Trailer
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Bike Racks are indeed not rated for use on a fifth wheel trailer as is the case with many bike racks due to the decreased ride quality at the back of the trailer. Instead, you'll need to use the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Platform Rack part # HLY64FR which is built much stronger. In regards to a bumper hitch, most are either for a 4" x 4" or 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" as these are the standard sizes. That said, the RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # S64025...

  • Bumper Mounted Trailer Hitch for RV That Mounts Underneath Bumper
The only solution really is a new trailer hitch receiver because the Swagman RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # S64025 is a clamp-on designed only to be mounted above the the bumper and doing otherwise compromises the safety and integrity of both the hitch and your RV. There are bumper mounted hitch receivers that will accommodate 2 inch bike racks, which is what the Swagman was designed to do. • Capacity of Clamp-On RV Bumper 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # S64025 with Anti-Rattle
The limiting factor is not the capacity of RV bumper hitch # S64025. The main issue is the capacity of the bumper. You will need to contact the RV manufacturer to find out the specifications for your bumper. Also, you will have to be certain you have the right bumper, as this hitch is designed exclusively for 4 inch by 4 inch continuous-welded steel bumpers. This adapter is not compatible with aluminum or spot-welded steel bumpers. There is no drilling required, as the hitch slips over...

  • Bumper Mounted Hitch For 2011 Gulfstream Visa
The Swagman RV Bumper 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver is intended to fit bumpers that measure 4 inches by 4 inches, and would not fit the bumper of your motorhome. The closest we come to the 4 inches by 1-1/2 inches you said is the size of your bumper is part # C19101. It is intended to fit bumpers that measure 2 inches by 4 inches. This would still give you a 1/2 inch gap if installed on your RV. I cannot recommend a bumper hitch, but can recommend a frame mounted receiver for your RV. I...

The Swagman RV Bumper Receiver you referenced, part # S64025, is designed for a 4 inch square continuously welded steel tube bumper. However it is not designed to use with cargo carriers. We have another bumper mounted hitches that would be a bit more heavy duty. The Curt RV bumper hitch # E-100 could handle up to 350lbs of tongue weight. We do also carry frame mounted hitches for RVs, which should offer more weight capacity. I have included a link to the frame mount RV hitches below....

I have a co-worker who uses this bike rack on the back of his 5th wheel camper and the rack works great for him and his family. Whether or not you could replace your current bumper with one rated for 500 lbs would be up to the manufacturer of your trailer, but I doubt they have a bumper available with that kind of rating so the hitch I recommended would be a better choice.
