Question:

I have a 2006 Tiffin Phaeton 40QDH and I need to replace my fresh water pump. Its making a lot of noise and sounds like its ready to give out. The current pump is 2088-422-144 I dont know the manufacture. It runs at 2.8 GPM, 12 VDC. 7.0 Amps, with 45PSI. Im looking for a replacement. Do you have a replacement available. Thanks. JG

Hey John, what you have now is a Shurflo, but more important to that is the specs you listed. So for a suitable replacement the Seaflo part # SE58FR would be your best option. It is the same PSI rating of 45 psi but can flow a little more at 3 gallons per minute. The max amp draw is 8 amps too. How long did your water pump last? Was it the original?

Thanks for the information. The pump is still working but it's making a lot of noise when the water is turned on. I did notice that the pump continued to run after the water was turned off. Had to turn the Water Pump switch off to stop it. That was a first. Went out to check on it and it definitely got hot; not leaking. I believe it's the original pump that came with the Moterhome Is the Seaflo # SE58FR difficult to install? My current pump is located in my water bay so there should be enough room. Will I have any issues installing this pump into a 2006 Tiffin Phaeton 40DQH Class A Motorhome? Are there any additional parts that I need to purchase to replace the existing water pump with the Seaflo SE58FR?

@JohnG Yeah it sounds like it is time to replace it! It's not hard to install at all. There wouldn't be any issues you'd run into either and you wouldn't need any additional parts.
