Its vent-free design has an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that detects low levels of oxygen. Once oxygen levels drop below 18 percent, the flame extinguishes, and the fuel supply is cut off. The unit will not operate again until the living space is properly ventilated and an adequate supply of oxygen (20 percent) is introduced. When proper oxygen levels are restored, you can manually restart the unit.
For further protection, the water heater has a shutoff timer that will automatically turn off the appliance after 20 minutes of use, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding.
Great product, super service. We are using it to heat water for the kitchen sink only at our summer cottage in NM. I could not get it to heat up at first, so I started with the easy stuff first and replaced the old propane hose and regulator, bingo bongo, problem solved. Puts out a good supply of hot water and we’re using it at 5700’ (1737m) in elevation. Max elevation noted on the box is only 6600, so happy with the results. etrailer did a great job in keeping me informed of the status of my shipment. Will do business with them again.
Does exactly what I needed it to do. It heats my hottub perfect. I am very happy with the performance of this heater and it works off grid...my happy place!
Easy install. Takes up very litle space (mine is behind the drawers in the kitchen). Delivers all the hot water we would ever want. We do the dishes while the shower is in use - everyone's happy.
My only complaint is that this unit produces a great deal of humid, hot air. Since mine is installed under the cabinets, I usually open a drawer when doing after-dinner dishes or if someone is showering so that this air doesn't get trapped inside my cabinetry. It is ventless, and e-trailer said it can be installed in a cabinet, but I would recommend a different location if you can make that work. Otherwise, just get in the habit of opening the cabinet door. Overall, great unit for the price. Way more affordable and practicle than having a big hot water tank that you are keeping hot.

Received quickly after ordering, eight days. It was harder removing the old water heater and tank. This new tankless went in quickly and works beautifully. When the old heater died I was panicked but this 78 year old woman did the install with just a little guidance. Now I’m glad the old one quit. I love this new quick water heater, fast hot water that cost less. Thanks so much!
Works fast and very well. I would recommend as a replacement for the normal water heater with a tank.
My order was apparently lost, no order was received by my order number. Whoever I talked to, never waiting or holding. She said she’d take care of it. That was on a Friday. I called back Monday, she remembered me, said it’s on the way and gave me a tracking number. Excellent.

Easy install. Heats very hot if you don't run your water at full blast.
Installed in cargo camper conversion. Heated 60degree water to scalding instantaneously and uses very little space - I tucked it behind the oven where there was plenty of clearance based on specifications and was otherwise wasted space. Anxious to see how well it heats water once I take my rig ice fishing!

The unit works great in my enclosed trailer conversion. Easily temperature adjustable and works great on low flow faucets. Highly recommend this unit

Pretty easy to install, need to make sure the hot air won’t trigger the auto shut off. That’s the case where I had to put my hot water heater. Can’t really use the cold water, have to turn up the hot water so it can keep up. Still can take a hot shower and do dishes, just not a whole lot of pressure. I am happy with my unit after working with it for a while. Easy and fairly cheap solution for my situation.

Still working great no issues
Showers are lukewarm in the summer and cold in the spring and fall. Use it in my camper van. I am currently looking for a new unit that heats adequately for my needs
Should have gave 5 star however I should have bought a bigger model. Good product and it's not a use once throw away design. I have had it hooked uo for around 2 years now.
I live in a rv and have a 4 gallon propane / electric heater Original in the trailer. When I bought this instant from etrailer I had forgotten mine had the option to be ran on propane. My plan was to try to get away from my electic heater using this one. Let look at model quick. I guees its the 30 gallon instant one by Excel. So I tried to get this to have hot water when I want without running my generator. My 4 gallon tank has an electric heater on it that I was using for a real quick shower. So when I hooked it up it was most easy to install right after my 4 gallon tank so that's what I did. So on impressions of the flash heater it seems like a great looking unit. I wish I would have got a bigger one. I think I paid around I 200 delivered so not bad on pricing. So I think it claimed around 20 degree warmer water. Anyway what I'm trying to say is like say at 40 maybe 50 degrees weather outside I didn't get a hot shower. It definitely helps my 4 gallon tank do its job and I can get away with just warming it up to warm and let the flash burner get it comfortable. It helps using both... I think two of the units in sync with eachother would be great. I would save up for bigger models if you have cold weather or maybe just buy two and you can run a line from one to another. During the summer it worked fine just turn the water onn wait a few seconds and bam hot water great time for easy shower. The product works great and have not any problems with it. I changed the d cell batteries with some new ones and the thing is solid and dependable I will probably be using it for a long time. Maybe one day go to two of them side by side. Also I plan on getting my original propane / electric to work on propane also. Maybe for this winter so I can leave it on and have hot water for my needs. The propane part fires up but I think the thermo coupler isn't telling the main burners to open up. I am also working on sanitizing my potable water tanks cause they are getting nasty and I can't drink my water right now. I love having my own rv and little upgrades and tlc can make your day. Etrailer has done me nothing but good business so I would recommend them for your instant and trailer stuffs. I did buy a flasher trailer wiring thing for my old truck that I could not figure out but it was probably my wiring/ mess of a truck k lol. Have bought a few items from these guys they usually surprise me with there service so that's why I decided to give them a hefty review plus I know us rvers tend to help eachother.
Love the tankless water heater. Never run out of hot water with this one.
Our shop installed this water heater in a concession trailer, and holy cow did it deliver! Hard to say if it would keep up with a full-flow, longer shower, but it performs nicely.
It has been a blessing. Cost compared to others.. easy to install plus uses only 1/3 of the space.

Still working pretty good just has moments of going colder but it is easier to winterize Highly recommended
