Question:
We have a 2010 Nash 17C with a model SW6 DE Suburban water heater installed under the gaucho in the front. It has the standard access door on the outside. Can it be replaced with one of the Excel tankless models? Would like to keep the gas/electric option if possible. Thank you

Hey Bob,
You very well can replace your current water heater with the Excel # EX93FR tankless water heater. It can be installed almost anywhere, but you will want to make sure it has the required 2" of clearance on each side, and 8" above the unit for proper ventilation. As long as you have room this will be a nice replacement for you and keep the gas/electric that you are wanting. The overall size 11-1/4 x 14-5/8 x 5-1/4 is a little different than your Suburban model so you will want to double check the space you have to install it.
If you are wanting the same gas and electric heating however, I recommend going with a Dometic like # DMC74FR. The Excel only uses electric for the ignition of gas, Dometic is the only one we carry that is full gas or electric heating.
Are you usually at campsites or do you do any boondocking with your trailer?
