Troubleshooting Excel RV Tankless Water Heater EX93FR That Will Not Ignite

Question:

Hello. I am having trouble with the heater even trying to ignite. I put new batteries in a number of times but there is still no clicking that it’s trying to ignite

Hello Kasey, thanks for reaching out. There are a few things to check here. First make sure your regulator is working ok. It could be preventing gas from getting to the water heater. I have heard of them freezing up and not working, so if it is cold where you are, this is something to check. Also check and make sure water is flowing/able to flow. If the water pressure is insufficient, it will not ignite.

Check that and see know if the problem persists. If so, it might be time to have a tech come take a look.

@Kacey Darn sorry to hear that. If the igniter isn't clicking it could be a fuse, wiring, igniter component, or the board itself. Might not be a bad idea to have a tech come take a look at this point.
