Can 50 Amp Power Watchdog Surge Protector be Used with 30 Amp Power Source

Question:
The 50amp hardwired Gen 2 version, can I use a convertor plug at the pedestal from 30A to 50A? Will the unit recognize 30A power and still work correctly? Simple plug and play with both 30A and 50A service? I have a 50A fifth wheel but will be visiting parks with only 30A service. Thanks.

Hey Marc, yes you can use the 50 amp Power Watchdog Surge Protector # HU82VR with a 30 amp power source. It will work just fine without any issues.
