Does Your etrailer Awning Come with All the Hardware to Install, What Else do I Need?

Thanks for finding a reason to write into us. Based on your orders, looks like you working on quite the project!

Our etrailer 12V Power RV Patio Awning - 15' Wide - 8' Projection - 4-Layer Vinyl - Black Fade # e24QV will come with all the hardware needed to get it installed. I am sorry, but we do not offer it in the white fade at this time.

I checked to see if we had a complete Solera awning in the white fade, but it looks they only have it in the 14 foot and with white arms, the Solera XL 12V Power RV Awning - 14' Wide - 9'8" Projection - White Fade # LCV000334942-362241.

With that said, I do recommend also grabbing some LaSalle Bristol Butyl Tape for XTRM RV roof membranes - 30' x 3/4" - Gray # 344270341410-1, if you don't have some on hand already. It’s a great idea to put butyl tape behind any mounting brackets and anywhere screws are going into the wall so everything compresses and seals up nicely against water intrusion.

I’d also suggest picking up some Alpha Systems 1010 Non-Sag Sealant for RVs - Black - 10.3 oz - Qty 1 # AL53KV. This will be used after everything is mounted to seal over the screw heads and around the edges of the brackets. Since it’s non-sag, it’s perfect for the vertical surfaces on the side of your RV and will stay right where you apply it.

For installation, you’ll want to locate solid backing in the wall (like studs or existing awning rail locations), then apply a strip of butyl tape to the back of each bracket before securing them with the provided hardware. Once everything is tightened down and the awning is mounted, go back and apply the non-sag sealant around each bracket and over the fasteners to create a secondary weatherproof seal.

This combination gives you a really solid, long-lasting install and helps prevent any moisture from getting where it shouldn’t.
