Question:
I have a 2015 Forest River Heritage Glen 226LBS. OUR AWNING FLEW OFF DURING TRAVEL. Whish unit do you suggest for our replacement? It’s 19 feet. Can we use the existing mounting holes that were used with previous arms? Thanks

Hey Mike,
We offer either a white to black fade # LCV000334966-362243 or black to white fade # LCV000335007-362241 awning in a 19' length. You can mount the arms in the same area but I'd space them slightly off from the original holes since we don't know how well they'll hold onto the new mounting hardware. With the old one being ripped out from the wall the old holes are likely enlarged. You'll want to use some gasket maker in the old holes to prevent any water from leaking through the walls.
You'll want to use some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the back side of the mounting brackets to help prevent water from leaking into the walls through the new mounting hardware and I'd go one step further by covering the head of each bolt with some non-sag sealant # AL53KV. The old mounting hardware may not have been waterproofed enough and allowed water in, weakening the wall and allowing the awning to blow off so I'd take extra precaution with this new one.
