Today we're going be taking a look at the Valterra City Water Inlet and Gravity Fill Lockable Hatch for RVs. This unit allows you to add or replace the hatch for the city water inlet and gravity fill inlet on your RV. It is a lockable hatch that comes with two keys. The lock core is already installed and included. It's also going to come with a thumb latch that's also included. That way you can replace the lock core if desired. Down here it's going to have a sliding door.
That's going to allow the water hose to pass through with the main hatch door closed. Just open it up, and you can rotate that out of the way. That opening right there is going to give us a measurement of an inch and a quarter wide. From the lip to the top of the opening is going to measure one and seven sixteenths tall. If we open it up, you can see the connection points on the inside.
If we undo the threaded cap here, this is going to be the gravity fill connection. It's going to come with that nice threaded cap and tether. That's included. Right here is going to be the city water connection. It's got the cap with the tether on there as well. It's like a plug.
It's got the threaded connector right here. It easily threads onto the water hose. It's going to offer appropriate seals for leak-proof performance. Again, the cap is included for that connector as well. Down there, you're going to notice that it does feature an air vent.
That's going to let you know when the tank is full. It's going to allow air to escape to keep pressure from building up inside the freshwater tank. We're going to take a look at the overall dimensions. Going this direction, it's going to measure about seven and five eighths of an inch wide. Height measurement is going to be about six and a half inches tall. It does require a cutout for installation. Your cutout is going to need to measure five and seven eighths of an inch wide by four and three quarters of an inch tall. Here on the back, it's going to feature the brass, half inch, male pipe thread fitting. That's going to connect to the RV plumbing connection for freshwater. It's also going to have the inch and a quarter barb connection that connects to the RV plumbing for the gravity fill. Then, it's going to have the half inch air vent connection. You can see everything that it includes here on the table. It's going to come with your installation putty tape and the tape for the pipe threads on that brass fitting. It's also going to come with that thumb latch, two keys, and the necessary hardware. The screw heads are painted to match the color of the hatch. You will notice that the mount holes for the unit are covered by the main hatch door. They go around the perimeter here of that mounting flange. The housing is constructed of a durable plastic construction. It's white in color. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra City Water Inlet and Gravity Fill Lockable Hatch for RVs.

Thank you , got it today. Put it all in place works great. 671705
The product was exactly what I was expecting....it fit great as a replacement..... The only gripe I had was the amount of butyl tape supplied with it....It was only enough to go around the top and two sides....nothing left for the bottom...On purpose? Maybe, to let water drain if need be....Also the butyl tape was barely thick enough.....I had extra on hand and did use it..... 657193
This product was an exact match to the one on my trailer. Since installing it last year we have had no problems with it, works great no more water leaks when hooked up to city water supply. 636040
This works well for my toy hauler. Fit right in the space from the old one. I had a plastic hose connector, which broke, wanted to replace it with this brass one. My intention was to remove this brass piece and put it into the old set up, but it is not removable, so I just swapped the whole system. Looks good. Happy with it so far. The customer service has been great. I called and discussed what I was looking for and they were extremely helpful in getting me the correct part. I ordered while I was on the phone. It came fast and secure. Thanks 601922
Perfect for my custom built skargo trailer works flawlessly on my maiden 6 week voyage thru NM, Co, Utah and back to Texas. I prefer the peace of mind of the lock so nobody but me can control the contents of my water supply. 583542

Exactly what we needed to replace old panel and locks. We love the Camco insulator, we live in the south and it really blocks the sun and heat! 539514
Looks to be built well, like the brass fitting. Just received it and have yet to install it. Hopefully it will stand up to the elements. 303140
