Outstanding product! I will say etrailer.com also provide heads up service and contacted me about potentially shipping me a cover that they had in stock vs the one I ordered as they wanted to make sure that there was no prolonged delay that I may not want until this one came back into stock. Being proactive is good and I said " I've got time so I can wait." I ordered on 13 Sep 2020 and it shipped on 6 October 2020. A 3 week delay is not the end of the world at all. Great proactive service from etrailer.com and they are my go to for truck towing and my camper needs.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

The biggest headache was to locate the front and rear. Unfortunately, had to unfold on the ground to determine and refold to put back up on roof; and at that time, tore a small part of the covering. There were no instructions when it came to the two, long rolled up straps. I did thread one of the straps thru the loops at the bulkhead and tied it down, and the other to the underside of the back of the 5th. Overall, it's a great cover and happy with it.

Strapping system is nice, top waterproof material is holding up great. But, the side covers aren’t very durable and mine developed a big hole after one season of use. Just make sure that side material is additionally strapped down in the front/back - there aren’t built in tie downs there.

I won't use this again. No matter how much I tightened the straps, and re-tightened, they never seemed to stay tight in the wind. One strap ripped off. Now my RV has scuff marks all over the sides from the blowing cover, and the paint is worn through to the bare metal at the corners because this cover will not stay tight.

Cover overall is pretty good. Length is perfect my rv is 36ft with a hydraulic lift gate. Width on the other hand is short would of been nice to be a foot longer on each side…during install was very careful and had two extra helpers and the cover did get a small tear on the front but the cover did come with two extra patches. Price was expensive time will tell how well the cover holds up in upstate ny winter.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

This is a review after 1 year of use. I purchased the cover for my pop up and it fit excellent, it allowed for two kayaks that are on the roof and still covered the sides. The material and straps are of good quality as well. I store my camper outside in NYS so this cover has seen rain ice and snow and shows no signs of wear. It is important to make sure it is not loose so the wind cannot blow it around beating it on the camper. I would buy this cover again.

The cover was on my camper for just a few months and it literally disintegrated. I made sure to cover all potential snag points on my camper and I secured the cover as directed. I called and they replaced the cover with a different cover. I haven’t installed it yet.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

My cover arrived promptly and is very high quality. I saw in some older reviews that the cover was not marked front/rear, but mine is clearly printed on the cover. Definitely follow the instructions and the first time you install it I HIGHLY recommend you do not do it alone, I did but would have been easier with help. I used two ladders in addition to climbing on top of my trailer. I used some foam pipe insulation to cover the gutter spouts & rear ladder rungs to prevent sharp edge punctures of the cover; that works great and are reuseable. All in all I very happy with this cover and etrailer!

Already ripped. Gutter guards don't protect anything. This isn't meant for extreme weather conditions not meant for snowy conditions like product states. Do yourself a favor and put the money towards a building. I will try to send pictures. Don't buy waste of money

Comments
Customer Service will reach out to you about the 2-year warranty. I recommend putting foam or pool noodles around any sharp edges or corners. Also, making sure your cover is strapped tight will make it harder for strong winds to tear your cover.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

After 35 years of covering my RV's This product seems the strongest. I ordered a 5th wheel cover that was larger than I needed and it went on without a Hitch. ( no pun intended) I was surprised at the heavy duty material. From experience I can expect to have this cover for some time. Being at 7200 feet above sea level and a temperature difference of 104 degrees down to -30 degrees puts a strain on man beast and RV storage. But i feel that this cover will cut the mustard and believe me I've used some that I knew would not last. I'm sure this one will. Stitches good, tie downs well made and positioned. Zippers strong. Here! Here! for the vendor, etrailers.com. I liked the way they communicated on shipping details from beginning to delivery. They never disappoint in customer service. I can hardly wait till I have to order a cover for my other RV which is a class C.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

A 30' cover was ordered, and a 32' cover was shipped. Not a big problem, as it fits anyway with loose fabric on each end. The quality is very good, but something on my RV roof wore a small hole in it over last winter; our location in the winter is windy. I will repair the hole and use it again this winter. Overall, I am satisfied with the product.

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

The best advise I can give is DO YOUR HOME WORK BEFORE YOU BUY, and get the correct cover for your needs! I have read too many reviews from people who bought the wrong cover, i.e. a light weight cover meant for short term storage but use it long term, and then complain it didn't last. We have a V-nose travel trailer and since no one makes covers specifically for them, we had to find what we thought would be the best one for it. We measured down the top of the trailer from tip of the V to the end of the ladder and looked at ones that would fit that measurement. We decided on the Camco UltraGuard cover because of the fact that it was heavy duty and recommended for cold and snowy climates (we live in Michigan). We liked the idea of the many air vents where the sides meet the top, and the numerous tie-down straps with bungee cord ends. We watched a video about the easiest way to put a cover on, since this was all new to us. It recommended laying it out on the ground first and locating the "Front" and "Rear" labels so you knew which end was which before hauling all 38 lbs of it up on the top of the trailer, where it would be more difficult and unsafe to figure out. Also it recommended turning it inside out, with the sides folded up over the top so the sides could be dropped down easily, rather than having to be pulled out from underneath the top, as would have to be done if opened from the way it was folded at the factory. Before installation we followed the enclosed instructions which said to cover any sharp edges and points on the trailer before installing the cover. We cut pieces of swimming noodles to cover the rain gutter ends and the corners of the step frames. We then loosened and lowered the AM/FM antenna and covered it and the folding TV antenna with an old towel. Being heavy duty fabric, the cover was a little eavy to get up on top of the trailer, so we had to use another ladder, not the one attached to the trailer, to get it up there. That was actually the hardest part, but once up, it was easy to adjust in place per the video instructions and drop the sides down. Final adjustment could be made from the ground by pulling carefully on the sides . NOTE: The tie-down straps do not go all the way under the trailer as do many other brands, but have soft-fabric covered aluminum hooks you bend into shape yourself to hook underneath the trailer. We were not sure we liked that arrangement at first, but it seems to work well holding the sides of the cover down and in place. We used the frame of the trailer as much as possible to hook onto rather than just the bottom of the sides. The instructions said not to pull the bungee sections tight but to leave a little spring in them so they have some give when the wind blows the cover. I think the reason is if they were tight with no give, the wind might possibly rip the tie-down from the cover. The back straps used to tighten it work very well, but since our trailer is a V-nose, we had to fudge with the straps on the front to snug it down as tightly as possible, so we added another bungee strap to hold down the excess fabric of the front corners. The whole installation took two of us a little over an hour, but next time should go faster now that we have it figured out. We wondered how well it would all hold, but this past week we had sustained winds of 35-40 MPH with gusts of 55 MPH for over 24 hours, and the cover hardly even moved. All you could see was the sides poofing out slightly and then the air vent flaps would lift and let the excess air out, so the top never ballooned up at all! It also rained very hard and the cover just beaded up the water and it ran off. The main trick is to take your time and get it snugged down with no loose, baggy, flapping areas where the wind can get under it. Now we have no doubt it will also hold up just fine to the cold winter snow and winds here in Michigan!

Review from a similar UltraGuard in RV Covers

Of course I must start by saying that etrailer's customer support is second to none. It is always a pleasant experience to order from etrailer.com. I am very pleased with the design and quality of this Camco camper cover. The material seems to be of very good quality. The air vents at the top are a smart design feature which allows air to escape from the cover when the wind blows. The top portion is designed with some overhang that acts as a drip edge which sheds water away from the sides. Very good design! The fasteners seem to be of good quality and there are velcro ties for each of the 4 jacks that support the truck camper. It fits pretty well on the my Lance 915, although I was having a little trouble keeping the front portion on the cab-over from coming off. I ended up adding a couple straps from the front fastener to the 2 front jacks to help keep it in place. As with any cover, the main enemy is wind. It can tear apart a cover under the right circumstances. The trick is to keep it tight enough that it's not flapping in the wind but not too tight such that it puts stress on the friction points. I do wish there were more tie down points at the bottom and under the cab-over. I"m thinking of getting a kit that cuts eyelets and add some more points for tie downs at the bottom edges. The zippers for the door are of good quality. I might consider adding a dowel or something to the bottom of the zippered door opening to make it easier to roll up the door opening. Kind of difficult to get it to roll up reasonably well by yourself. With 2 people, it would roll up nicely. Overall, I don't think I could find a cover that would fit any better without getting a custom made cover, which would cost 2 or 3 times as much. This cover is a very good investment and I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the additional info. I personally have seen better luck with Adco brand covers like this one here with a 2 year warranty: item # 290-12295

, but I can see why you chose the Camco one since it states it is better for snowy regions. I was going to suggest, to deter from tears, to add foam or cut pool noodles around corners and other sharp edges.

Outstanding winter cover. The best I've ever used, and I've had several that couldn't make it through one Michigan winter without something wearing out. This is my second ultra guard. The first one lasted four years of, not just winter, but summers as well. Due to family issues, then Covid, we have not used our 5th wheel since fall of 2017, so the cover hadn't been off since then. It took 4 years of wear, and finally, a bad wind storm to do it in. I highly recommend this product.

The cover has begun to tear in areas that it make contact with hard edges on the trailer. It has lasted a year so far. Hope it will make it through one more year before it disintegates. I like how it secures around the trailer but the material is a bit weak.

Finally had a nice day to cover my 34 foot Coachmen Catalina. The cover was the perfect size. Tried to follow instructions and it took about an hour - just took it slow and steady. I should be ready for the first Minnesota snowstorm.
