Recommended Cover for a 14 Foot Long Vintage Truck Camper

Updated 01/05/2026 | Published 09/30/2024

Question:

I have a Vintage truck Camper that is a total length of 1310 excluding the ladder which sticks out another 4.5 on the back. Which cover will give me the tightest fit, and how do the covers sizes work? I dont see any for my size camper so they must not be referring to total length.

Hey Steve! The closest option we have for your Vintage truck camper is going to be the Camco UltraGuard Slide-In Camper Cover item # CAM45771. If I am reading your dimensions correctly your camper is 13'10" long with an extra 4.5" when you add the ladder. This would put you at just over 14'.

The Camco item # CAM45771 fits truck bed camper's that are up to 16-1/2' long, we do not have anything smaller. The extra material will make getting the cover in place easier and the excess can be tucked and strapped down with the integrated straps. It has three layers which do an excellent job protecting the camper in all climates including heavy snow!

Hey Steve, how did the fit turn out with the Camco UltraGuard cover on your vintage truck camper? Did the extra material tuck and strap down the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others with similar camper sizes.

@JerredH Hi, Jerred, The cover was oversize on my truck. I fit it tight to the back. I cinched it tight in the front. We didn't use the camper so it's going on the second rainy season now. the camper inside has stayed perfect. I wish the top wasn't white. It is turning color. It looks like algae is growing on it. The sides are still gray.
