Mount your Malone FoldAway-5 kayak carrier (MAL38FR) using the T-slots on your crossbars with top channels. Using your T-slot channels gives you a more sleek look when installed, and works great if you have clearance issues below the rails.

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together to a T-Slot Crossbar Adapter Kit for the Malone FoldAway-55 Kayak Carrier. Now folks, this is what it'll look like when you're sliding into those T-slots on the bars, and it's gonna let you mount your Malone FoldAway-55 Kayak Carrier, sold separately, item number MAL38FR, to your crossbar with T-slots. It's gonna replace the clamp-on mounting hardware that came with your kayak and rack, and it includes all the T-slot hardware, mounting brackets, the install wrenches, and instructions. So these are nice, heavy duty black powder coat steel construction.
Super durable, super nice finish. All the bolts, all the blocks and spacers here. You got thick ones and thinner ones, and all the washers and the screws with the Allen wrench and the little wrench to install 'em. So a nice kit here by Malone. This is the T-Slot Crossbar Adapter Kit for the Malone FoldAway-55 Kayak Carrier.
I'm Steven. Thank you so much for watching. Have a great day.
Worked as advertised, but does not easily marry to 8020 extrusion or Frontrunner crossbars; between the two these comprise most overland/offroad racks. Some fabrication will be required.
Exactly what I was looking for, perfect fit and finished with no bolts protruding under the roof bars.
