Today we're taking a look at a smart slot crossbar adaptor kit. Now this kit lets you attach your Yakima Big Catch Carrier to crossbars with top channels or T slots. It provides a clean integrated look for your Big Catch system. It's covered with a limited lifetime warranty. It's made from a nice durable steel construction. Comes with four slot adapters.
Comes with all your necessary installation hardware, and it comes with a wrench to get all that hardware tightened down.Now the T slot adapters slide into the slots on your cross bars. The saddles from the Big Catch get places over the adapters so that the threaded posts pass through them, and then the saddle is secure to the adapters with the included hardware. That's gonna do it for today's look at the smart slot crossbar adaptor kit.

This kit allows you to attach your Yakima BigCatch saddles to crossbars with top channels. Provides a clean, integrated look.Installed them today. All but one bolt stripped and unusable. Used only the supplied nuts etc. absolute junk. I’ve had and have numerous yakima products and these are awful. Will be requesting refund.
The Adapters are awesome. I would have just made my own but I have too many projects and not enough time. Etrailer was great from start to delivery. In my opinion the Yakima Big Catch Kayak Rack should have came with these as an alternate mounting method for the price you pay. Thank you Amy J for the great customer service.
This kit will not work with Thule TracRac SR. The t slot brackets are to big for the slots. Needed to machine off 1/16 off of each side to get them to fit. You should really take a picture with the dimensions. Not everyone has access to a machine shop.
I use these on my Yakima rack and roll trailer and my car. Both have HD bars so I can swap them in minutes
