The Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack sits tight to your roof for a smooth, factory-style finish. The flush design means there’s no extra bar hanging past the towers, keeping everything looking neat and balanced. It’s a full rack system that includes two BaseLine FX crossbars with towers and a custom fit kit, so once it’s on, it feels like part of the vehicle rather than an add-on.
When you’re cruising down the highway, you don’t want a loud rack droning over your music. These aero-style aluminum bars cut through the air to help reduce wind drag and noise. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels close back around your mounted gear, sealing gaps that can cause whistling and vibration. It’s a simple design detail that makes long drives more peaceful.
From kayaks to cargo boxes and bike racks, this setup handles it all. The crossbars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars, so you don’t need to limit what you bring or buy new attachments. Whether you’re hauling watersport gear or loading up a cargo box for a road trip, these bars give you flexibility for every season.
You want confidence when your gear is strapped overhead. These bars are built from aluminum for strength without unnecessary weight. They support up to 165 lbs while always following your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity. Measuring 40-3/4" long x 5" wide x 3-1/2" tall on one bar and 44-3/4" long x 5" wide x 3-1/2" tall on the other, they provide stable spacing for secure mounting.
If you want extra peace of mind, you can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately). They deter theft of both the rack and any channel-mount accessories you’ve installed. It’s an easy upgrade that keeps your setup secure when parked overnight or at the trailhead.

I’ve lost a second cover. Some shifting of the rack but I use it weekly.
