The alternate instructions for RRVA137B-2,RRRLKVA,DK432 mounting on a 2015 Ford Edge Titanium with panoramic glass and no rails says the crossbars mount about 27 apart. Is there any roof rack system that will allow mounting about 40 apart. The door contours look like 12 forward and 28 aft of where the doors meet is possible. Im looking to haul 8 to 10 long things.

I may have another option for you, but the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System for your 2015 Ford Edge Titanium with the Panoramic Sunroof and a bare roof which uses 54" Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2, Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLKVA, and Fit Kit # DK432 are designed for 27-9/16" crossbar spread and will not give you the 40" spread you are wanting.
The roof rack system with the widest crossbar spread for your Edge is the Yakima Roof Rack System which uses 60" Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426, BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y28TR, Fit Kit # Y06102, and Fit Kit # Y06139. This system will give you a 32" crossbar spread which will be better for carrying longer cargo like you mentioned.
Adding the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07204 will secure the roof rack to your vehicle to deter theft.
To give yourself a location to secure your longer cargo I recommend the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 which will give you an anchor point front and back to attach straps to.
