Roof Rack for a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium With Glass Roof

Question:

Good morning, We are looking to purchase a 2017 Ford Edge Titatnium with the huge sun roof. They are telling me we can not get a roof rack installed because of the sun roof. I didnt know if there was another option for we really like the car. Thank you!

You can actually obtain a roof rack for a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. According to my resarch the only real issues you may have are reduced capacity of 100 pounds and not being able to operate the opening or closing mechanism of the roof while the rack is installed.

Your 100 pound capacity will include the weight of the rack, the weight of any accessories and any cargo loaded onto the vehicle.

I would still exercise caution when loading accessories onto the roof rack, as there still is the risk of damage to the glass roof.

If your new vehicle has flush siderails, I recommend the Yakima kit, consisting of:
