I needed the short rack for an Acura Integra. Has worked out really well!

by: Brett h06/13/2017

Love the product just don't like the issue of it coming loose after a while

by: Michael 02/16/2023

Although I haven’t attached the box to them, they feel sturdy, haven’t marred up the paint and look good on the old Subaru. Price is great as well.

by: Dylan 11/23/2020

Works great for what I need it too! I use it on the hartdop of my '91 miata so it doesn't see a lot of load or anything. Fits great though!

As I said in your other review it is a semi custom part so it wont be a perfect fit.

product exactly as described...great se rvice

by: Memory01/05/2018

I'm sure the product is a good one however the details about what cars it will fit on are sketchy at best. I searched for racks specific to a certain vehicle and this is the second one I will have to return because it does not work on my vehicle.

by: Victor05/03/2018

Super easy install and sturdy build. 10/10. Would roof rack again.

by: James07/27/2017

Great fit, the shipping was fast. Easy to install, took only about 15 minutes.

by: Michael06/29/2020

Thanks for the prompt and hassle free service. Rack arrived a day EARLY (!) and was on my car the same day. Repeat order? You can count on it.

by: Wendy C07/17/2017

The rack is fine but when it came you could tell someone had returned it as the box was jacked up then when my husband started to put it on, he could see the rack had also been used and was all dented. We didn't have a choice but to use it as we were leaving the next day. I called and left a voicemail due to the high call volume and never got a callback, at least not that day as we left next morning.

My 2008 Subaru Legacy has no door frame around the window glass, so I was very apprehensive about a system that would not interfere with the window glass causing scratches or worse. This fit very well, and the doors close with no problem! very pleased for the option of extra storage!

This was required for my roof rack to fit on my 1995 Honda Civic coupe. works great!

by: Curtis Saylor12/09/2014

Was the perfect size, only took about two hours to install including putting together. The shipping was fast which I loved. bought it Friday and was here Monday night. I would buy more products from here again. LOVE the new roof rack!!

by: James 09/23/2021

Good fit for my old Toyota Corolla with naked roof. Instructions includes specific installation details for each model of vehicle this rack fits. Install was smooth and easy… even included an Allen wrench. The only tools I needed were a tape measure and a marker.

by: Justin09/07/2023

I just got the rack and looked at the fit guide. For an Impreza or Saab 92-X they want the bars spaced well under 2 ft apart. That gives me little confidence and flexibility to use the rack for equipment on the roof. Keep that in mind for what you plan to use the rack for

by: Larry T.06/28/2012

Have owned these racks for a few years. Put them on the car roof every summer, and attach a Thule cargo box on top.

Have used the same racks on two different cars. They adjust very easily to the different cars.

Easy to install and remove, strong/sturdy. No problems, good value.

by: Jay07/19/2016

Great product. Just as described.

by: SISTO DURAN04/26/2017

Use the roof rack to transport a fishing rod tube. A great purchase. Installation instructions easy and concise. I will be using the racks for some time to come.

by: Walter06/28/2016

I Installed this rack on my son's 2004 Subaru legacy 4 door sedan for carrying 2 kayaks. It was very easy to install and is very solid . I had 2 sets of Thule kayak carriers that fit perfectly on these cross bars. Great product .

by: Chris B.05/12/2015

The customer service has been great. Excellent communication about when the product shipped and accurate and easy to see package tracking as well. The roof rack is working out good. I have already taken out my kayaks and they are very solid. Although the pads that are to protect the paint could be a little better, on a late model 'beater' like mine it's not a big deal. Plus it is far less expensive than the big name brands. Overall great services and a great product.

by: Andrew S.06/30/2016

I bought the roof rack for my Toyota Solara to transport a 50 lb kayak to and from the water. I've used the rack perhaps 50 days so far. It performed as you would hope: no failures. What surprised me was how well it performs on the interstate. I wouldn't recommend taking it over 80 mph, but anything up to that point is incredibly stable.

Some cons: the rack is at its most outreached point, so that the caps are all that's holding it in place. My quick, cheap and effective fix was to use those flat rubber bungees from one cap to another. Another lightly irritating part is that the metal rubs up against the top of the window while driving, creating a chirping squeaking noise. Roll the window down to just below this point and you should be able to avoid a lot of road noise as well as the rubbing noise. The initial setup was lengthy, maybe an hour. Since getting it set up right though, taking it off is 5 minutes and putting it on is 10 minutes.

Overall review: you get what you pay for. Not the greatest removable roof rack out there, but for the price, you get a pretty good deal.

by: Charles Shanks05/23/2015

Sorry it took so long to respond, the box was staring at me for this weekends put together. Well things fit so, so. The extensions bars are to long to fit the rack on top of my car, totally unneeded hardware and I would like to return it for a refund.
The feet of the rack are not flush with the roof line so I'll need to bend them to fit as flush as I can get them. I do notice a second hole on the feet but cannot use it because of a fixed rivet instead of something interchangeable to make a more fitting angle for the foot to my roof, still some bending needed.
The cross bars look like they have been returned before as there are burrs where clamps were tightened down way too hard previously. All in all, I can make it fit if it doesn't void any warranty but would rather return everything if it does.

by: Joe08/17/2016

This is more a review on the customer service experience. Racks were delivered on time but damaged. I emailed them and received a response almost immediatly. Sent pictures, they replied and shipped me new racks no questions asked. They also sent me a pre paid shipping label. By far the greatest customer service experience I've had. Racks were very easy and simple to install. Unfortunately I had to remove rain guards but they were broken anyway. What a great co to deal with. Will do business with them again and recommend them to anyone.

by: Tong X.07/10/2014

At first when I opened the product, I thought that it might have been too small. My car has only 2-doors, so I was skeptical how it was going to hold. I was also concerned about my antenna location. With the adapter, it really looks good on the car, and really solid as well. It does leak a little when it rains out, but a little rain isn't going to stop me from having fun, and I expected it to leak a little from the mounts in between the door panel. I can't wait to add the kayak carriers onto it. I haven't ordered those parts yet, but will soon. here are a few pics to look at. I recommend it.

  • Roof Rack that Fits 2018 Honda Odyssey with Naked Roof
Hey Isaac, the Sportrack roof rack you mentioned is not confirmed as a fit for your 2018 Honda Odyssey. It is a semi-custom rack that was designed to fit as many vehicles as possible but we found is that because of that...it actually doesn't fit any vehicle well at all and we try not to recommend it. Realistically our best option would be the Rhino Rack Sportz part # RR74CG which does require some drilling into the vehicle roof but it would work much better to carry two kayaks. Do you...

  • Snow Board Carrier and Description of How SportRack Roof Rack Works on 1995 Honda Civic Coupe
If you look at the photo one of our customers submitted, you'll get a better idea of how the SportRack # SR1003 roof rack and the # SR1116 Short Roof Adapter fit together. Because your vehicle is a coupe and there's not a second set of doors at the rear of the vehicle, without the short roof adapter the crossbars would mount so close together, they couldn't be used for anything. The adapter provides side rails and another set of clamps that allow the rear crossbar to be moved rearward a...

  • Recommended Roof Rack And Kayak Carrier For 2007 Honda Accord With Naked Roof
The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack, part # SR1002 is designed to fit your 2007 Accord. You will also need part # SR1116. This is the short roof adapter. The # SR1116 is needed for roofs that have curved or short roofs like your Accord. I called my contact at SportRack and asked about the recommendation to remove the roof rack when not in use and they told me it is dues to the wear and tear on the roof rack when empty and also the wear on the vehicle roof. Excessive wind noise is also...

  • How to Install the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack Part # SR1003 on a 2004 Hyundai Accent 3-Door
I spoke to my contact at SportRack(Thule) about installing the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack part # SR1003 on your 2004 Hyundai Accent 3-door. They informed me that the mounting feet on the front crossbar will need to be placed in the 19-3/4 position and the mounting feet on the rear crossbar will need to be placed in the 13-3/4 position. The front crossbar will then need to be placed 24" forward of the point where the edge of the door meets the cab and the rear crossbar will need to...

  • Roof Rack Options for Transporting Kayaks on 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback
Since you intend to transport a kayak(s) on the roof of your 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback my suggested starting point is a review of your owner's manual to confirm how much weight the vehicle's roof can safely handle. If you cannot find this in your manual a local Honda dealership should be able to check this using your car's VIN number. Depending on that roof weight capacity, and the weight of your kayak(s), the very lightweight foam block type of kayak carrier may indeed be a good option...

  • Recommended Methods for Carrying Four Bikes on 2002 Honda Accord 2-Door
Due to its very low tongue weight capacity (maximum amount of weight that can be applied to the receiver), the bike rack and hitch manufacturers agree that any bike rack used in a Class I receiver be limited to carrying two bikes only. Not only does the limited weight capacity come into play here, but any additional bikes placed on a rack will place the load of the additional bikes further away from the hitch. As more weight is added further away, more leverage is exerted on the hitch which...

  • Roof Rack And Cargo Basket Recommendation For 2002 Honda Accord 2-Door
We do carry a few roof racks that are designed to fit your 2002 Honda Accord 2-door. The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack, is a fit and has a crossbar spread of 23-1/2 inches. To order this rack you need to order 2 part numbers, part # SR1002, and part # SR1116. The Curt Roof Cargo Carrier, part # C18115 requires a crossbar spread of 15, 22, or 29 inches. Unfortunately, all of the roof racks we carry have crossbar spreads that would not work with the Curt Carrier, but I do may have a solution. I...

  • Recommended Method to Transport 2 Surfboards on 2000 Toyota Echo 2-Door with Bare Roof
The SportRack # SR1002 roof rack will not fit on your 2000 Toyota Echo 2-door, but another rack from SportRack will, their semi-custom system # SR1003 and short-roof adapter # SR1116. But because this rack is designed to fit so many different cars, its fit on any given one will not be as secure as with one of the costlier custom-fit racks. • Cost-Effective Roof Rack Fits for a 1999 Toyota Tacoma
The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # SR1005 will fit the Regular and Xtracab for your 1999 Toyota Tacoma when you combine it with the Short-Roof Adapter # SR1116. This should help it fit better and keep it from leaking when it rains. If you'd like to add a gasket seal around the feet of the rack to help you can use part # LT37467, but I'm not sure if that will help or hurt anything as it might cause other parts of the weather strip to sit weird. If you have the Double...
