Battery still dies frequently, even when turned off. Also, no matter how hard I try I can program it correctly. When you press up it goes down, press out it goes in. It works its just backwards. I’m sure the programing is my issue. Other than that it works as it should.

I am glad it is working, even if it is backwards. From what I can find on that issue it is most likely a wiring issue. I would first try to re-sync the remote to make sure that is not the issue. Just disconnect the power for 10-15 minutes and then re pair the remote. If that does not fix the issue, then you will need to access the receiver board, locate the wires for the functions that are acting in reverse and then swap the positive and negative wires and get those functions back to working normal.

by:

All is good the only problem was finding the receiver in the camper to pair to.

by:

Pure junk, first one arrived with corroded batteries. Second one works after I replaced the cheap no name batteries that came in it but the functions are reversed. Functions do not match the name on the buttons.

by:

Programming instructions are very limited I got it to work but not like it should the awning function moves the slide one of the jack functions moves the awning I tried to start over but was unable to

I asked the manufacturer about this. Here is what Tyler at Lippert had to say: What I would recommend is going into the programming mode again, once in there write down what you program to what function. So if it blinks once set that to awning and right down Function one Awning. Then if the awning moves the slide out or a jack you know for the second go around function one should be the jack. Let me know how it goes!

by:

I did not find it easy to program to my 2011 Cougar. It works but the pre-sets are not the same as what actually happens. I.E. the awning is actually the front leg control, and the rear stabilizers are the main slide out.

by:

Can’t get it to pair with my rv

It looks like in your case the remote was defective, but in a normal troubleshooting scenario, its best to check the batteries and make sure they arent dead, and then wed go from there. Thanks for reaching out!

by:

The first temote I received had corroded batteries, now I have the replacement and it won't sync with my trailer receiver.
I would like the remote to be returned and my money back.

by:

I was reminded about getting one for "back-up"...while they're still available. From a "Montana Owners" website. Handiest device we have on our 2013 3402RL! Use it daily while travelling/camping for setup/hookup/takedowns etc. Glad it was still on the market! Amazed on how fast it was delivered!

Still very satisfied, glad I have this second backup for our 5vr.

by:

I was stranded at the campground with 1 slide out extended and 1 retracted so that I couldn’t leave or get to my inside refrigerator. One call to etrailer and they made sure I was ordering the correct item and that it was in stock, shipped overnight and it promptly arrived the next day and I was on my way!

by:

Exact Replacement, fast shipping.

by:

The service from KATE F was excelent she was very helpful and followed up after the procduct was delivered. The remote its self is hard to program and to use as it works backwards. We are trying to make it work.

by:

Just what I needed. Excellent customer service help.

  • Finding Momentary Push Button for Programming LINC Remote
The momentary push button is actually not on the remote part # LC292614 that you referenced. It's on the receiver of the LINC system. I reread the instructions a few times till I caught that too so I understand the confusion! Normally the receiver is located above where your generator is stored.

We get this question a lot. The momentary push button on your Lippert LINC system that you need to press to program the Remote Control # LC292614 is not on the remote, but rather on the LINC receiver box which is usually located near the generator. After you press and hold this button on the receiver you will press the light bulb button on the remote until you hear a relay in the receiver click, then release that button on the receiver. The two should now be synced. I have atttached further...
