Today we're going to take a look at the replacement silicone dust boot with the stainless steel core for Kodiak disc brake calipers on 7,000 pounds to 8,000 pound axles. Now this will replace the dust boot that's on your Kodiak disc brake caliper. Again it fits models that have an axle capacity of 7,000 pounds up to 8,000 pounds. There's usually stainless steel core, which is durable, rust proof, ideal for marine use. This boot is what'll help keep any dirt or debris or moisture from getting to your piston and your brake caliper.It is designed to fit the Kodiak calipers that are marked Kodiak 250. A few dimensions on this.

The overall diameter, edge to edge, is going to be right at 3.08 inches. Inside diameter is right at 1.75 inches.That should do it for the review on the replacement silicone dust boot with the stainless steel core with a Kodiak disc brake calipers on 7,000 pound to 8,000 pound axles.

  • Installing Replacement Silicone Dust Boot # K250BSSSI
    In order to install the Replacement Silicone Dust Boot # K250BSSSI on your calipers you first need to remove the two pistons from the assembly. While you have them out it's a good idea to go ahead and give them a thorough cleaning. Then with the pistons out you will install a new boot by slipping it over the top of it (with the wider diameter end of the boot facing down). Slide it down beyond the ridge on the piston until the wider diameter end is actually extending a bit over the bottom...

    You can if you want too, however since your calipers are fine you do not need to replace them with your damaged dust boot. We do carry a variety of dust boots like the Replacement Silicone Dust Boot w/ Metal Core for DeeMaxx 3,500-lb to 6,000-lb Disc Brakes # DE23FR which will work with 3.5K to 6K capacity axles.
