Question:
Does the caliper on a boat trailer need to be replace if it’s functioning properly despite the dust cover boots having a crack in it? I am serving my boat trailer clean, inspect and repack bearings and noticed my caliper’s dust boot is cracked- calipers work fine but didn’t know if I should replace them bc of cracked boots since the trailer goes in the water to put the boat in. Thanks

You can if you want too, however since your calipers are fine you do not need to replace them with your damaged dust boot.
We do carry a variety of dust boots like the Replacement Silicone Dust Boot w/ Metal Core for DeeMaxx 3,500-lb to 6,000-lb Disc Brakes # DE23FR which will work with 3.5K to 6K capacity axles.
Or
We also have the Replacement Rubber Dust Boot for Kodiak Disc Brake Calipers # K338B which will work with axles that have a capacity of 9K to 10K, and # K250BSSSI for axles that have an 7K to 8K capacity.
