Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this replacement digital remote control for the Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent. Now this white remote control is going to replace the digital remote control for your Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent with 12V fan and powered lift. And for your reference, I am including our item number for that roof vent with fan on your screen. And this is going to allow you to conveniently control the temperature and operate the fan.
So you can get a good look there of everything that this remote is going to help you control. And as you can see, batteries are included. And also the mount to mount this in. I do want to point out that this does not include the screws to install this. So just be aware of that.

Product was exactly as advertised on website and what I was expecting. Exact match to OEM remote. Popped in the batteries and works great from the git go! No programming required. E-Trailer has never disappointed. Will definitely order from them again.

Order arrived FAST. IT works and I am so stoked. One more thing done to take my new to me camper van on an adventure. The previous owner left the batteries in the fantastic fan remote & it was badly damaged beyond being usable. Did not have a fan model number & took a chance. So glad I did. 2016 Roadtrek 170 versatile so the fan is most likely a 2016. Thank you etrailer.

Honestly, we read online that this is a replacement for our very old controller for our 2007 motorhome fantastic fan, but despite reading all the instructions, we cannot program it. Unsure what is going on. If you have any hints, please let us know. We read everything you posted!

Thanks for your words! You may have to program your new remote. Here is how you do it: Hold the remote 12 inches away from the fan while holding both arrows. The Auto and Manual lights will begin flashing immediately. Continue holding both arrows down until the seven LEDs flash once. Now its programmed. You may have to try both sets of arrows, the speed and temp ones.

We have used e-trailer in the past and always had great customer service, shipments that are on time (when products are in stock) the 4 items we've purchased were in stock. If things aren't in stock it certainly isn't the fault of e-tralier. We are experiencing shortages everywhere these days. We highly recommend the folks at e-trailer for your RV, camping, TT needs.

I purchased the remote for two purposes. The main use is a second remote for my Fantastic Vent for convenience in my camper. The second purpose is to have an extra remote while camping should my primary remote break or get lost since the fan only functions with a remote. After a year of use and many thousand miles travelled, I am very pleased with my purchase.

The bathroom fan in the motorhome quit working about a year ago. Several technicians wanted to replace the entire unit $$$ when all it needed was a replacement controller $$. Makes one wonder how adept these RV dealerships really are at repair or replace. A bathroom fan is not a luxury; it's a necessity!

While this unit is not compatible with older models of remotely controlled vent fans, it will serve as a backup for the replacement unit installed in the fan housing. I was disappointed that the older model is no longer supported.

Unfortunately my motor home with the Fan Tastic Vents is in Oregon for some repairs.
I will not get back there until late August. I will not know until that time if the remote controls purchased to replace the old models will, in fact, be programmable with my 2011 Vent 6000 Series Models (?). That said, everything Moly E. at etrailer.com stated about the service and the product has been perfect. Thank You!

I only rated a 3 because the remote was not the problem even though all the reviews pointed to that. I could not get the remote to respond to the programming and when I called etrailer they were not helpful. They told me if I followed the instruction sheet, that is all they could do. Long story but don’t always believe it is the remote, mine was the main board in the fan and the remote did not need to be programmed.

This product did not come with a single sentence of instruction on how to set-up or program the remote. I attempted to use the advice of their technical advisor from their website and that was very vague did not work either. Now I'm searching elsewhere more answers.

To program the remote to a fan you will hold your remote 12 inches away from the fan while holding both arrows. The Auto and Manual lights will begin flashing immediately. Continue holding both arrows down until the seven LEDs flash once. If this does not work, try the other set of arrows.

- Solution for Fan Tastic Roof Vent 417RF with Broken RemoteFantastic Vent did update the remote control component of their vents back in January of 2014 so older units like yours cannot use the current replacement remote # FV9068-81. The upgraded vent model to replace yours is part # FV807350 which has a 12V fan motor, thermostat, powered lid lift feature and the remote is included. If ever needed, replacement remote # FV9068-81 is the correct one for this vent.

- Is There a Fantastic Fan Remote for a Model 7300I may have a solution for you, but from what I was able to find out there is not a remote available for the model 7300 Fantastic Fans built before January 2014.
