Question:
The Titan Model 60 multifit coupler on our boat trailer will not accept the 1 7/8 ball we have always used it with. It appears that the ball latch is frozen blocking the entry of the ball upward into the socket. Please advise and many thanks in advance for your help

Since it sounds like the latch is the source of the problem you will want to replace it with a repair kit. The correct repair kit for your Titan Model 60 Multi-Fit coupler is the Latch Repair Kit for Titan Multi-Fit Couplers and Brake Actuators # T4045400. This will allow you to replace all of the components of the latch so your coupler functions as intended.
I have attached an installation video for your reference.
