Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure outside wall surface can accept mounting screws (sold separately).
  2. Cut rough opening in trailer sidewall according to appliance instructions.
  3. Apply sealant (sold separately) around vent flange and insert vent into opening, ensuring that the collar overlaps the outlet flange of the appliance.
  4. Install screws to hold vent to trailer wall.

After accidentally leaving the damper flap unlocked for the drive home, it mysteriously decided not to return home with us. It flew away mid travel I have to assume. Direct replacement for a 6-year old exterior wall range hood vent on my 2014 Grand Design RV. Simple installation, just 10 screws and re-caulking to keep the water out. Great price and fast shipping from etrailer.com !

The damper fell out of my old original range hood vent. It lasted 16 years so I can,t complain. I ordered a new vent from etrailer and it works very well. The price was more than fair also. Thank you all for providing excellent options for products and lots of info to go with them.

Unit was not as sturdy as I expected, but it works. I added a vented hood to our RV so I cut the hole in the side and sealed the vent with putty and screws. Screws and putty were not supplied with the vent. You need to purchase those seperatly.

Exact replacement part. In process of changing all the white colored ports and vents. Those dingy white ports and vents look bad. They should have been black all along.
It also gives my 2005 toy hauler a newer model look. Very pleased with parts from etrailer.

Don't fit like you said it would. So got s return authorization and have to pay shipping fee back to you. Which is not right.

I didn't use this item since it requires adding more holes thru camper wall or matching existing holes in wall and drilling more holes in this vent. It was easiest to fix damper, reseal OEM vent. This item would be ok for new install but not repair for me.

Frame/housing is actually thicker and stronger than I anticipated. Perfect fit of our Westinghouse through the wall range hood. The damper is hanging in a perpendicular orientation, so it will flap with wind or closing doors, or will hang open if out of level.

I got what I wanted at a fair price with reasonable freight and excellent packing albeit with a glitch. This item was scratched and scuffed. I contacted etrailer and they took care of it right away. This was a perfect fit for our range hood that didn’t vent anywhere from the factory. All it did was make noise. It was a little nerve racking to cut a big hole in the side of the motorhome, but it was totally worth it.
The only negative is that you have to go outside and release the clips when you want to use it, and clip them again before driving, because it slaps open and closed from road wind if you don’t. Minor inconvenience for a major improvement. Would recommend.

Received promptly. It appears to be stronger than the original vent with the added feature of a rain guard. Hopefully it will prevent loss if we forget to close the vent while driving.

Feels kinda cheap, but it works fine, and the price was right. I Installed it in the sidewall of my cargo van conversion, and use it with a couple of computer fans for my main ventilation system. A very inexpensive solution to the problem of condensation buildup.

    The High Pointe Over the Range RV Convection Microwave # HP94ZR can be vented outside but you'd need to pick up a bit of ducting and duct tape from your local hardware store to connect the vents on the top of the unit to an exterior vent. If you don't already have an exterior vent then we currently offer one in white # V2111-13 and black # V2111-55.
