Question:
I need a metal replacement for RV Exterior Range Vent 13 x 5.75 x 3.75 Black 08617727. Most replacements are too narrow and the screw holes will not work, leaving the old holes exposed. Any thoughts?

Hi Roy,
We don't currently have any exterior range vents that are made of metal to replace your current vent. The part number you provided, 08617727, is a Forest River proprietary RV exterior range vent, so aftermarket replacements may not fit the exact dimensions and require some modification to the trailer.
Your current vent's insert on the back measures about 10-5/8" x 3-3/4". The B&B Endura Range Exhaust Vent for RV part # BM97GR fits cutouts that are 10-3/4" long x 4" tall, just slightly larger than your current cutout which can be widened to fit the B&B Endura vent. Its overall dimensions are slightly smaller at 12-9/16" long x 5-7/8" tall, so if you have bolt holes that are not being used by this vent, they will need to be filled with sealant to close the holes up. If you prefer a vent with a locking damper, the Ventline Exterior Wall Vent for RV Range Hood part # V2111-55 is the closest option to your original but will also require modification to the trailer to be installed as it's insert is slightly smaller than the cutout at 10 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" tall.
Have you made any modifications to your trailer before?
