Yes, the internal damper in the Ventline Exterior Wall Vents for RV Range Hoods, parts # V2111-55 in black and # V2111-13 in white, opens automatically when you turn on the exhaust fan in your RV's kitchen range hood.

These vents also have a locking feature for the damper that lets you keep it secured in the closed position. Two swiveling latches, one on each end of the damper panel, allow you to secure the damper for off-season storage or when in extreme temperatures when you will want to keep the RV well buttoned up for minimal heat or cooling loss.

Installation requires 10 screws, such as # 31071, as well as a silicone sealant. Silicone rubber sealant is ideal since it both provides a secure installation that resists vibration and rattle, and it blocks entry of rainwater. We offer the sealant in many colors, such as # LT37464 (grey), # LT37467 (black) and # LT37466 (copper).
