Video Transcript for Review of JR Products Propane - Regulators - 37207-30375

Today, we're going to take a look at the JR Products, excess flow two-stage POL RV LP gas regulator. Now this is a low pressure, two stage gas regulator that ensures a nice smooth, continuous flow of gas to all your appliances by combining a high pressure first stage and a low pressure second stage regulator, all into one unit. You can see on this end it has the POL inlet connection to connect to your gas cylinder. And it does contain an excess flow safety device, which will limit your gas flow, in the event of a severe leak. On this end, here is a three eight inch female FPT outlet connection. Now, the vent on here, here's your vent, the vent is actually in the nine o'clock vent position is what they call this. But you do want to make sure when you install this regulator, the vent has to be pointing down.

So the water and debris will not collect inside the regulator. So when you do install this with the vent down, it will be installed in a horizontal position. On the very top it does use a gauge port that you can unscrew this screw right here, and attach a pressure gauge to it.It has a nice zinc die-cast construction. They do use the molded rubber diaphragm. So it is UL approved.

Notice it does have the dust cover that you can unscrew and access the adjustable screw in there to adjust the pressure of the regulator.Has a nice powder coat finish to it. And the BTU capacity on this is 225,000 BTUs per hour. It does come with a nice set of detailed instructions on how this operates and how you install it. But that should do it for the review on the JR Products, excess flow two-stage POL RV LP gas regulator.

This regulator is the closest to a real made in USA one’s that lasted twenty years plus. Its made in New Zealand and has worked perfectly for a year.I operate a handful of food trucks and go through Chinese regulators like French fries they freeze up and stop letting gas go through don’t buy them.

by:

The exact part I needed, fits perfect, works perfect. Couldn’t be happier! And my stove, my water heater, and my lp refrigerator are also quite content!

Perfect!

by:

Won’t order again. If you don’t know when the package is to be delivered, don’t put a date in. Am going to return product. Full time in rv.

by:

Fit and initial operation were good but it failed after 6 months while we were away from home and my test equipment (I'm a licensed Universal level HVAC technician). It would work fine for a couple of days, then randomly shut off the gas flow. No problems with the replacement I purchased locally. After returning home I put it back on and tested it and verified that the excess flow device was faulty. I have no way of knowing whether this is a common problem with this make or model or just an issue with a single item, so won't say it's a bad product, only that the one I received was defective.

by:

As advertised, this was the right replacement regulator that I needed. In the end, it turned out that my regulator was not my problem. It was a bad hose! It's ok - it never hurts to have spare parts lying around.

by:

Looks and feels like a quality product, time will tell if it lasts.

by:

Shipping was fast, communication was great and the part was exactly what I needed!

by:

Good regulator

by:

LP REGULATORS ARE EXTACTLY WHAT WE NEED/ORDERED, WHICH IS GREAT, BUT THE LP REGULATORS WERE BOXED W/NO PADDING TO KEEP THEM PROTECTED IN TRANSIT. IF ONE FAILS IT WILL BE THE FAULT OF ETRAILER RATHER THAN THE MANUFACTURER... HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT WAS THINKING.

  • Should RV Propane Regulator Smell Like Gas
The vent on regulators like the # 37207-30375 should not allow you to smell propane. If you are smelling propane near the regulator that's a sign yours is bad and needs to be replaced as there's most like a hole in the diaphragm. The # 37207-30375 would be a great solution to replace what you have with.

  • Difference Between 3 JR Products Propane Regulators
Those three regulators are all very similar and essentially do the same thing but they're used on different propane setups. Part # 37207-30365 is a vertical regulator. Vertical regulators are commonly on propane systems on travel trailers or pop up trailers Part # 37207-30375 is a horizontal regulator that also has POL fitting inserted into it. Horizontal regulators are usually what you see on motorhome systems. The tanks on motorhomes, called ASME tanks, also use a POL connection like...

For a horizontal two-stage regulator that's manufactured in the USA we offer the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet # 108221. • How To Hook Up Generator to 100 Lb Propane Tank
The propane regulator requirements will be specific to the generator, usually in the form of a BTU rating so you'll have to reach out to the manufacturer of your generator to see what they recommend.
