Question:

Hello I need a LP two-stage regulator that I can hook up to 100 lb cylinder and supply gas to 160,000 BTU tankless hot water heater. People have recommended the camco 59333 however many complaints of it leaking. I want a quality built 2 stage regulator preferred made in USA. I want it to easily screw on off propane tank.

For a horizontal two-stage regulator that's manufactured in the USA we offer the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet # 108221. You would just need to attach the MB Sturgis Full Flow Propane Tank Connector Fitting - Soft Nose POL x 1/4" MPT # 204037-MBS to the 1/4" Female NPT inlet on the regulator to be able to connect to your 100lb tank. I recommend using some Thread Sealant Tape for Gas Lines # 37207-30025 to ensure a leakproof connection.

This regulator has a maximum flow capacity 400,000 Btu per hour and reduces pressure to 11" WC so that gas flow is safe for appliances. It's made by a local company right here in St. Louis so you don't have to worry about the cheap quality you might receive from foreign made regulators.

Hi. I have a Rinaii tankless propane water heater for use in a small cabin. The tankless is model 1401i rated atc140,000 but. Can I use a dedicated 30 lb propane bottle for supply ? And what 2 stage regulator do you recommend ?

@Mike you can use the MB Sturgis Horizontal 108221 or Vertical # 108220 depending on the orientation you want. It looks like that can be used with a 30 lb propane tank but you might have to refill it frequently.
