Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.
The Yakima FullTilt is a premium, 4-bike rack packed full of user-friendly perks. The rack has dual arms that offer excellent bike support and fully adjustable anti-sway cradles with ZipStrip ratcheting cradle straps for quick and easy bike loading. The mast tilts away from your vehicle for cargo area access. A built-in cable lock secures your bikes to the rack. And installation is tool free with an integrated anti-rattle device that locks the rack to your vehicle.
The FullTilt's dual arms offer excellent bike support. Your bike's top tubes rest in grooves on the padded arms. The grooves cup your bike frames, and the TPE padding absorbs road shock and minimizes vibrations.
Pull the red TriggerFinger control lever on top of the mast to lower the arms for storage or parking clearance. When you're ready to load bikes again, simply lift the arms back up until they lock into place with an audible click.
The FullTilt has anti-sway cradles that grip your bike frame at 3 different points - twice along the top bar and once along a downward bar, such as a seat post. This third point of contact helps to prevent sway and bike-to-bike contact.
Ratcheting ZipStrips let you quickly and easily secure your bikes in the cradles. These straps require none of the tugging and stretching that conventional straps require. Simply insert the strap into the buckles on the cradle, and push it down until it's snug around your bike frame. The ZipStrips can be removed quickly by pressing the release levers on the sides of each anti-sway cradle.
You can adjust the cradles by sliding them along notched tracks in the bottoms of the arms. This allows you to optimize the spacing between your bikes on the rack. Simply lift the cradle's control lever to move it, then lower the lever to lock the cradle into position.
The FullTilt has an integrated SpeedKnob and AutoPin that allows tool-free installation. The knob controls an anti-rattle wedge on the shank. Simply turn the knob to tighten the bike rack shank in your hitch receiver. This not only secures the rack to your vehicle, but also reduces noise and movement of the rack in your hitch. The rack works with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the red adapter and wedge extension with the included Allen key.
The AutoPin is the rack's spring-loaded hitch pin that pops into place when it enters the side pin hole of your hitch.
A handy thumb-release button disengages the AutoPin so you can easily slide the rack out of your hitch. And, since the AutoPin is part of the rack, you won't lose it.
The FullTilt's mast tilts so you won't need to remove the rack for rear hatch clearance. And the UpperHand control lever is conveniently located near the top of the mast so you won't need to bend over to reach a lever or pin at the base of the rack.
The FullTilt includes an integrated cable lock that can be threaded through all 4 bikes and locked to the end of the right rack arm with a Same Key System (SKS) cylinder. The braided steel cable is 1/4" thick, and it is coated with vinyl to prevent scratches and scuff marks on your bike frames. When not in use, the cable stores in the rack arm.
The SpeedKnob also includes a SKS lock cylinder, operated by the same key that opens the cable lock. This lock prevents a would-be thief from being able to loosen the knob and remove the rack from your hitch.
SKS cylinders can be swapped out if you own other Yakima products and want to use the same key to lock them all.
The FullTilt easily folds flat for compact storage. Use the TriggerFinger control lever to fold the arms down. Then use the UpperHand lever to fold up the shank.
And the FullTilt includes a built-in, machined-steel bottle opener in case your beverage of choice doesn't have a twist-off cap.

Hitch-mounted rack carries 4 bikes on folding arms with easy-to-adjust anti-sway cradles. ZipStrip ratcheting straps quickly secure bikes to cradles. Rack tilts for cargo area access. Tool-free installation with locking knob. Includes cable lock.My new Yakima bike rack just came in, the packaging was damaged, though the rack was intact on the inside, which is good! I had tested it in my truck and is perfect for my family and I to transport our bikes, get new adventures, etc., it does exactly how Yakima presents it. The support and timeliness from etrailer were exactly as they promises, so no complains; and by the way they had the best price around!
Do not buy. This rack is very heavy and the hitch pin is like a finger nail. It will not stop the rack from falling out in the event the lock fails.
This is an awesome rack. It is very easy to use and comes completely assembled. It is very secure in the hitch and has a cable lock to secure bikes to the rack. Also, etrailers price was $100 less than everywhere else I looked, plus free shipping. I highly recommend.
I like it. The new trek mountain bikes are wide and my old rack did not work. This one is heavy But well built. Only complaint was the sticker was pealing off right out of the box. Called the company and they are sending new stickers. Great customer service
Price and shipping time very good. Final review pending resolution of damage and missing keys. Box came with lots of holes and non manufacturer cardboard patch on box. Missing keys. Broken plastic piece. Metal braided but that doesn’t affect function.
Really solid and bulletproof. Works perfectly with the ski carrier/rack.
Fast delivery and free shipping! Easiest bike rack install for me. Top notch innovation and ease of use. As close to plug and play as you can get with a bike rack. Would highly recommend.
Happy so far with the installation and it's stability. Looking forward to really try it with four bikes loaded.
If you have a new OUTBACK, Subaru has gone out of their way making your job easy carrying equipment, The roof rack is poorly designed and the OEM etrailer receiver is very shallow... MOST bike carriers DO NO fit. I had a Swagman , from etrailer from our RAV4. IT did not fit the shallow receiver. This is the only one I know of that will fit the shallow receivers. Madison was very helpful in the selection of the bike rack and the rack arrived quickly. It fits well as it has an expansion fitting to tighten the fitting in the receiver. etrailer is always helpful and I purchase all car/trailer/sport products fro from for their knowledge and customer service.
Product is high quality, well built, st urdy.
The installation pin and wedge are pretty inconvenient and the rack is very heavy. However, the aesthetics and overall mechanics are great.
This took a little bit of time to set up but once done, it carries well - little to no sway. I did under estimate the height once it was on my Expedition since I am only 5 foot tall! I can literally walk under it! Regardless I can easily lift onto and off of the rack. I don't leave it on my truck all the time and so having a second person to help reinstall it on the hitch is helpful but not a requirement. I can do it by myself. I am a 60 year old female in average shape. Highly recommend this carrier.
So far so good. I just have to see if I can put a kids bike or female bike without issue .
everything was awesome especially my customer service agent I spoke with, Ellen. The package did come damaged but that’s not your fault. I’ll be installing it tomorrow and reach out if there’s any damage/missing parts!
So I am someone who really likes to look at products and compare and compare some more, before I make a purchase. So, I really put some effort into finding the right product for our family. And I can say that this is one of those that hit a home run with us! This rack is incredibly easy to use and the fold flat ability for storage was the tipping point for the perfect rack for our family. The ease of use is incredible, I think that hardest part is holding the weight of it up while inserting into the trailer hitch hole and that's really not hard at all. You can load/unload bikes fast and easy, the rubber coated arms help keep your bikes from getting scratched. The quick click clamps work great and are adjustable on a slider to accommodate bikes of varying widths. Only thing I think that could use improvement with this is, I would like the integrated/included bike lock cable to be a bit longer and a little thicker but that's just nit picking. It's really a great bike rack that is extremely easy to use, install, remove, and store almost flat when not in use.
Shipping was fast. The rack was easy to set up, including the zip ties. It has some nice features and some I would change. When inserting the rack into the hitch receiver, there is only one peg that extends through the receiver hole. I was thinking that there should be two, one on each side for more stability. The rack was easy to insert into the receiver hitch. The only issue I see is that when tightening the rack into the hitch receiver, the instructions tell you 10 foot pounds of tork. How can one possibly know that by tightening by hand. I tightened the rack inside the hitch to what I thought was enough. It says not to over tighten. The rack was securely inside but there was a little more wobble, not much mind you, but a little more than I expected. I tested it out with my 2019 Trek Marlin 7 and it fit nicely. The bike was held securely without any wobble, it was the rack itself which had a little wobble to it. I wish it came with more than one tie down strap to secure the wheel for other bikes. Overall, I am pleased with the rack and recommend it.
I researched for about a week. I wanted to get the best fit, quality and value for my purpose. I ended up deciding between the Yakima and the Thule. Thule seemed the more popular choice but when comparing the two models that had the same features, the Yakima seemed a better value at almost $100 less. The Sales lady on the phone was very helpful and the product was shipped and arrived as promised. I was able to install the bike rack easily and used it the first weekend. Very happy with my choice and with etrailer.com. Thanks.
