Features to know about

Stable Hauling for Heavy Rides: 60 lb Capacity per Bike

Built for solid support, the Thule T2 Pro XTR carries up to 2 bikes with a total capacity of 100 lbs and a per-bike limit of 60 lbs. That’s plenty for e-bikes, carbon frames, or any setup with a bit more weight. The platform design holds bikes steady, while deep cradles and extra-long straps handle tires up to 5.0" wide and wheelbases up to 50-1/2". Whether you’re hauling mountain rigs or road rides, it keeps everything stable mile after mile.

Quick Loading Without Frame Contact: Wheel-Only Mount

Paint stays pristine with ratcheting hooks that clamp the front wheel instead of the frame. Just drop your bike in, swing the arm over the wheel, and press the hook down until snug. The sliding rear-wheel cradle adjusts for different wheelbases and locks down with a strap that releases at the touch of a button. No frame rubbing, no tube clamps—just a clean hold that works for carbon fiber, e-bikes, and custom finishes.

Easy Rear Access and Compact Storage: Front Handle Tilts and Folds

Grabbing gear from the back doesn’t mean unloading the bikes. The front-mounted handle tilts the rack down even when fully loaded, giving you quick access to your cargo area. When the ride’s done, fold it up to save space or roll it away on its integrated wheels. The wheel-mounted handle design makes lifting unnecessary, and the folded footprint keeps storage simple in a garage or apartment.

Tool-Free Setup with Built-In Stability: AutoAttach Cam System

No wrenches needed here. Slide the shank into your 1-1/4" hitch, twist the knob to snug it, and the internal wedge locks it tight. The AutoAttach system takes the rattle out of the ride, so the rack stays firm and quiet. It fits Class I and Class II hitches and weighs 51 lbs, making it sturdy but manageable for one-person installation.

Total Security for Rack and Bikes: One-Key System Locks

Everything locks together with Thule’s integrated One-Key System. The cable locks loop through each bike frame and stow neatly inside the arms when not in use, while the locking knob secures the rack to the hitch. Once locked, the knob spins freely to prevent tampering. One key handles it all, keeping both bikes and rack safely in place.

by:

This bike rack is awesome. Our two e-mountain bikes fit perfectly on the rack. We have taken them on long road trips with no issues. Great bike rack.

by:

I love this bike rack, was told it was extremely hard to get last summer with supply chain but etrailer had one and it got to us quickly. We have 2 pedal-assist e-bikes, one is quite heavy; no issues whatsoever with this rack, it is excellent. Highly recommend both the rack and etrailer.com

by:

Easy to assemble, easy to use. Needed a more robust rack to handle the weight of two e-bikes and this model did the trick.

by:

We have two electric bikes which fit on it perfectly. Very easy to operate and hook up to our Rivian R1S. Highly recommend it!

by:

The Thule T2 Pro XTR rack is outstanding. It is sturdy and built to last, and the wheels make it easy to slide up to the trailer hitch and engage it easily. The tilt feature leaves adequate access to the back of my Subaru Forester. The bikes ride in complete security. My one quibble is that the locking cables are far too short to be useful on our bikes.

by:

I previously owned the Thule T2 classic hitch that was damaged in an accident. After researching a replacement, I found the reliability of Thule and significant advantage of being able to easily roll the XTR into the hitch with very little lifting effort. This is a major improvement considering the weight and unwieldy nature of the Classic version. The only negative as compared to the Classic version, is loss of the lockable wheel bars and the awkward short lockable cables on the XTR.
This is more than offset by the ease of mobilty and use of the XTR model.

by:

This bike rack is amazing! Only negative is that the included instructions for assembly are not great, but videos I found online helped with that. I can install this rack on my hitch and have bikes loaded up in just a few minutes, and it makes traveling with our bikes easy since we can still tilt it down to access the back hatch even with bikes attached. Best of all, this rack is INCREDIBLY sturdy. On vacation with two bikes in tow, I got a flat tire on my car and had my car towed to a dealership to get new tires. I had to have it towed on a flatbed because it was the only way to transport the bikes as the back of the car was full of luggage. When the tow truck started to pull my Highlander onto the bed, the angle of the car/flatbed was steep enough that the bottom of the bike rack (an angled piece of metal that hangs down where right where the rack attaches to the hitch) began scraping the ground. I was worried that the bike rack had been damaged, but it didn't even get scratched even though the metal of the rack scraped about a half inch off the surface of the asphalt!

by:

Excellent customer service and super fast delivery! Bike rack is true to Thule quality and workmanship. The rack is sturdy and the bikes completely secure. Bikes do not touch each other at all. The rack is quite heavy, but not too hard to handle and load.

by:

Excellent quality. I really like the tool free install and removal from the vehicle. The assembly manual that comes with the rack is pretty vague but assembly was easy after watching some on line videos.

by:

Works as advertised and one of the best things I’ve purchased for biking

Easy to load and unload bikes

Great for short or long trips and very secure

Drop down feature while attached is extremely helpful with locking mechanisms

I’d buy again in a heartbeat

by:

Obviously great quality! Not hard to install; however, I suggest watching [online] video prior to installation. Manual with pictures wasn’t very helpful.

by:

Service was ok. Regular website, email, tracking. But what I received was a disgrace. I thought I took advantage of a holiday sale, and what they sent me was what looks refurbished.

by:

I use it to carry 2 Fat Tire E-Bikes, First if your bike has a front fender you're in trouble and you'll have to improvise the front wheel hold down. I also had to order new rear wheel hold down straps because the ones it came with are for smaller tires. The biggest problem is when hitting a large bump in the road the rack would drop down to it's 45 degree loading angle and if your bikes are not secure you're going to lose them. Using the 4 bike setup is putting ton of stress on your hitch.

by:

The Thule bike rack is great, making it very easy to load and unload our bikes. Both this and the hitch we ordered from etrailer are performing flawlessly.

by:

This thing is expensive and it's for good reason. If you want to have a nice four-bike rack for your 2" receiver, you want it to just work, and you never want to have to think about it again, buy this rack. It's a pleasure to use and just works so well. My only complaint about it is that it tips the scales at 99 lbs and probably 4'-6" in two directions. As such, it is a pain in the neck to move around. It has these dinky little dolly wheels and if you have a paved driveway they would probably work great. I don't have any pavement to push it around on so I either need to risk a hernia or get help to move it near the car. I have developed a technique to tip the receiver bar into the square tube on our van so I can install the rack without actually lifting it off the ground.

by:

Overall, a well-built bike rack. Only one problem was the hitch lock didn't work
and seen on u tube this has been accruing problem with many previous owners. will contact mfg for a replacement lock.

by:

I had a great trunk rack. However, it would not hold an E bike due to the weight. This rack does a great job of holding my E bike. The rack also allows for me to get into my hatch where a trunk rack would not.

by:

Great bike rack. The end came dented which made the plastic end cap difficult to place. I used pliers to bend it just enough to get the cap pushed in all the way

by:

The quality of the rack is very sturdy and well built. I needed a rack that has a 12” spacing between wheels do to the baskets on each bike, and this rack delivered that. The issues I have with this rack are: I have a GMC Yukon suv and with the rack mounted I have to lift my two Lecritc 2.0 e-bikes, at 60 pounds each up over 24” to get it mounted. It sure could use ramps, which I know it did not come with. The clamp hold down does not work with fenders on a bike. It does not clamp very well on the cross bar (male and female) type do to the width and the angle of the cross bars. When clamping in front of the front fender makes the bike very unstable, and will require additional strapping and tie downs to secure the bikes. It claims it is for e-bikes, but only if it has no fenders. Nice rack, just not for me.

by:

I had a 30 year old Thule bike rack that I replaced with the new one. The old one was great but the new one much greater. The wheels for easy moving the rack are awesome and the locking system is as well. The way it drops down so I can get into the back of my camper without taking the bikes off is very convenient. Very please with my purchase. I suspect this rack will last at least 30 years as well !!

by:

Packaged well,went together well,bikes rode well,very pleased so far,AOK

by:

Had this for a year now and it is the best rack I've ever owned! Love the tool-free ability to install it on the truck without needing wrenches. Tool-free and anti-rattle, love it!

by:

Good hitch...no issues after year of use on a 2015 Honda Accord sport. The hitch bottom outs a lot due to the low clearance but this isn't a fault of the hitch. The Honda Accord does not have a lot of ground clearance.

My one stop shop for everything relating to receivers, hitches, and racks! Great prices + amazing employees = extremely satisfied customers.

  • Easiest Way to Convert Thule T2 Bike Rack from 1-1/4 inch Hitch Size to 2 inch Hitch Size
The 2 inch Thule hitch adapter # 853-7292 does not fit every bike rack they make unfortunately and it does not fit any version of the Thule T2 bike racks. Since you don't want to replace the shank (understandable) the best work around is the hitch reducer sleeve part # HT02.

The review for the Draw Tite hitch part # 36336 which is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Toyota Camry is several years old. It was from back in 2011 when this hitch was a Class I hitch. Now that it's a Class II hitch it will allow Class II bike racks to fully insert and install. Class I hitches have a weld stop in the tube that prevents a Class II only accessory from inserting. Now that is not the case. That being said the Thule T2 Pro part # TH23JV that you referenced is a Class I compatible...

Hey Blake, So there are a couple options here, but the adapter you mentioned isn't a fit and won't work with the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches # TH23JV. One option is to switch the entire stinger assembly for the T2 Pro XTR to the one for a 2" hitch, which is the Replacement Lower Assembly and 2" Stinger for Thule T2 Pro XTR 2-Bike Rack # TH37MY. However, that's not exactly cheap, but I did want to mention it just to cover all the options. What I recommend instead...

I have a solution for you. You can't convert the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH23JV to a 2 inch hitch according to Thule so you will need to use a different kind of adapter. I recommend using the Brophy Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02 along with the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 to give you the lock and anti-rattle on the adapter as well as the one integrated into the rack.

We have the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # e58YR you can use to get the rack to fit with a 2" receiver, but Thule states not to use their racks with different brand adapters so doing this would likely void your warranty.
