how can I reduce my 2 in receiver to accommodate a thule pro xtr bike rack with a 1 1/4 “ tongue

Expert Reply:

Thule will say that you can't use any adapters with their 1-1/4" Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH23JV and that you need to replace the lower assembly and stinger with part # TH37MY that fits a 2" hitch receiver. This is to protect the warranty of your bike rack and I feel is a little obnoxious on Thule's part to be honest.

If you aren't worried about the warranty on your bike rack then you can use the following parts:

Brophy Hitch Reducer - # HT02
Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin - # 63232

The reducer and anti-rattle pin will give you a secured 1-1/4" receiver to match with your Thule T2 Pro XTR bike rack. I'm attaching some review videos for you to check out on these parts.
