Can the 2 Inch Shank On the Thule T2 Pro XTR Be Replaced with a 1-1/4 Inch Shank

I have a 2inch Thule T2 Pro XT rack that works great with my trucks 2inch hitch. Seeing as the racks are so expensive, Id also like to be able to use it with my girlfriends vehicle which has a 1.25inch hitch. Is there a replacement shank available? Or what adapter would you recommend?

I do have an option for you but the shank on your Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH83JV is not serviceable meaning you cannot switch it out for the 1-1/4" version. There is a dedicated version of the T2 Pro XTR for 1-1/4" hitches, part # TH23JV.
The only other option I have for you to use this bike rack with a 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver is to use a hitch expander like part # HTAD. However, the adapter will reduce your hitch's weight capacity by 50 percent.
