Kuat Transfer 2-Bike Rack

The Transfer platform-style bike rack lets you carry 2 bikes on the back of your vehicle. The rack holds your bikes by the wheels - not the frames - to protect your paint. The low tray height takes the strain out of mounting your bikes on the rack, and the pivoting cradles and ratcheting wheel hooks make loading your bikes quicker and easier when compared with a rack that has a center post and frame hooks. A foot pedal lets you tilt the rack with bikes loaded for access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. And the pedal lets you fold the rack up for storage, too.

Perfect Fit Adjustment System

Kuat Transfer 2-Bike Rack

The Transfer has a Perfect Fit adjustment system that lets you carry your bikes safely and securely without the fear of damaging the frames. The system includes ratcheting hooks that hold your bikes firmly by the front wheels, adjustable front wheel cradles, and pivoting rear cradles that secure your rear wheels to the rack. These hooks and adjustable cradles ensure a perfect fit for each of your bikes' body styles.

Ratcheting Hooks

Kuat Transfer Ratcheting Hooks

The ratcheting hooks secure your bikes' front wheels to the rack. Place your bikes on the cradles then simply slide the hooks down over your wheels until they click in place. The hooks hold your bikes firmly in place without contacting the frames. Press the thumb release button on each hook to slide them up and remove your bikes.

Adjustable Front-Wheel Cradles

Kuat Transfer Adjustable Front-Wheel CradlesKuat Transfer Adjustable Front-Wheel Cradles

Each of the front cradles has a bolt locator tab that allows the pitch to be adjusted. In its upright position the cradles sit at the optimal position for holding a normal-size bike. Use the included Allen key to flip the bolt locator tab upside down. This allows the cradle to sit in a position that tilts more toward the center of the rack so that the tires of a children's bike will fit snugly.

Pivoting Rear-Wheel Cradles

Kuat Transfer Bolt Locator Tab

The Transfer has pivoting cradles that adjust to your bikes' rear wheels on the rack. Rotate the cradles out to accommodate bikes with wheelbases up to 47" long or rotate them toward the center of the rack to accommodate smaller bikes. Ratcheting straps secure your wheels to the cradles. A strap extender kit (APBK - sold separately) is available to convert the cradles for use with fat bikes.

Spring-Loaded Foot Lever

Kuat Transfer Spring-loaded foot lever

The spring-loaded foot lever is easily accessible even with your bikes loaded. No more crawling through bikes or squeezing between the rack and the vehicle to hit the tilt release lever.

Kuat Transfer Spring-loaded foot lever

The foot lever lets you easily tilt the rack down to allow access to your vehicle's rear cargo area - even with the bikes loaded. It leaves both hands free so that you can lower the rack in a controlled manner.

Folds Against Vehicle

When the rack is unloaded you can fold it up for storage. This makes it easier to park in small lots at the trail head or in cramped parking garages, and it keeps the rack out of the way of other vehicles and riders.

Adapter Sleeve with Threaded Hitch Pin

Kuat Transfer Adapter Sleeve

A removable sleeve on the shank lets you convert the rack for use with 1-1/4" hitches. The rack also comes with an anti-rattle device incorporated into the shank to reduce vibration and noise in the hitch for a smooth, quiet ride. Simply tighten the hitch bolt with the included 3/4" wrench.

There is also an optional cable lock and hitch lock (PTSCLK12 - sold separately) that lets you secure your bike to the rack and the rack to your vehicle.

Ordered from Etrailer and received it here in Austin, TX in two business days. So I will say the processing and shipping was 5-STARS!!! * Assembly: Took me about 45 minutes to complete. The instructions were detailed and specific with pictures. All tools and hardware was in separate packing so you would know which bolds, nuts and screws (tools) needed to be used. * Quality: Seems that etrailer sent me this e-mail very quick to ask for me to put in a review. So I only owned it for 3 days and it is on my vehicle. I am using the 1.25" and removed to adapter to install it on my current hitch. I did install my 30# carbon fiber mountain bike and it was very easy to setup and lock down all fastening to secure a solid hold. I have yet to take a stroll down the road to see how it handles, but this is NOT my first receiver. I can tell you for the price this is a very, very nice receiver and I would not hesitate to trust it and take it even on a 2000 mile road trip! I like that it is light and remove and put away and it collapses down very nice. Warranty: One of the main reasons why I got this is because of the lifetime warranty. I hope I will never need to reach out to KUAT for any parts, but there are a lot of moving parts (straps, bolts) that may wear down or fall off. I do recommend to run little bit of maintenance on this bike rack by re-tightening bolts and nuts to make sure the hold is secure. Since you'll have to assemble this it would just be ideal, especially in the 1st 6-months of use to make sure things are secure. After that I think the maintenance part of it can be ignored. However a clean bike transporter is a happy bike transporter :) ! Overall: SOLID and no regrets on this purchase!! If anyone cares, my last bike transporter was a 1 bike / 1UP model. I sold it to get this one because this fits two bikes and the 1up I had to spend another $300 to get an add on bike plus shipping fees. So that bike rack was $500 + shipping. Other thoughts: I recommending getting the PN# PTSCLK12 to cable secure your bikes and the bike transporter itself. Its a good $40 investment especially for the lock to your vehicle to bike transporter. The dual cable locks are decent, it will not protect you from the bad bike thief's out there, but it'll keep the honest people honest! 470107

My very first experience with etrailer was when I bought a Yakima DoubleDown bike rack and a receiver hitch for my Mazda 3 for my old school Giant Rainier mountainbike. It was a great buying experience so it was a no brainer to come back to etrailer and purchase a more bike appropriate bike rack for my Giant Trance and my wife's new Giant Lust full suspension bikes. Since the newer styles of frames do not work well with the traditional bike racks, I wanted a carrier that didn't touch my frame and allowed the bikes to sit right on the rack. After reviewing etrailer's offerings I decided on the Kuat TS02G. I was very impressed with the reviews people wrote about this carrier and now that I have used it many times taking the bikes up to the foothills, I must say it is a wonderful rack, it was easy to assemble (because I watched someone's video and heeded their recommendations before assembling it). I have the 1.25" receiver hitch and was a bit concerned about the reported "wiggle" but I never experienced this as I installed the hitch pin through the right hand side of the hitch and it is very snug! The other concern was how heavy it might be but found it very easy to walk right up the back of my car and slip the rack right in the hitch, no problem...and I'm 63. I was very impressed with the quality of the components and the ease of loading and unloading our bikes. Once again etrailer performed flawlessly with a quick delivery that arrived a day sooner than they estimated and the valuable resources on their website that assist you to make a confident purchasing decision. Thanks etrailer! 408571

I ordered this bike rack because I wanted a decent platform rack for a fair price, and this new Küat product seemed to fit the bill. I preface all my comments with the fact that this is my first bike rack purchase. Pros: Box arrived with all necessary parts packaged in segmented bags that were clearly recognizable in conjunction with written directions. Rack went together in about 30 minutes with one person handing parts and one putting together. It seems quite sturdy. Ours holds two different sized hybrid bikes, and they fit quite nicely. No contact between bikes when on rack. Bikes had very little movement at 55 mph as long as tire hooks and straps were pulled tightly. If you can spin wheels by hand even a bit, pull tighter. On a 2013 Honda Accord the trunk opens with the bikes loaded w/o having to drop the rack, and it opens with the rack closed up. It also goes on and off the car easily. Cons: I agree with other reviewer who suggested site should indicate item is on back order rather than be given that information after purchase is made. I had to wait a month for the rack to arrive after receiving my hitch four days after placing my order. Etrailer reps did keep in contact regarding the wait and that was very helpful. I also agree with reviewer who expressed concern about how rack seems a tad bit loose in 1¼" hitch, but it did seem fine after highway driving. 226642

Got this product within 10 days of ordering, and etrailer was very communicative about when the product would arrive. I assembled it with only a slight amount of trouble. My only issues were 1- putting on the wheel well involves a bolt with an insert that says "up" on it with an arrow; the insert is supposed to fit into a slot on the wheel well, and will only do so if things are lined up correctly, so I had to figure out that the part on the wheel well that surrounds the actual metal rack ROTATES inside the part of the wheel well that actually holds the wheel. This enables the insert with "up" to fit into the slot. Confusing, but pretty simple once I figured it out. 2- My hitch is 1 1/4" and you have to take off the factory installed 2" adapter by unscrewing a bolt. The bolt was harder to take off than I was expecting, but finally got it! The rack comes with all the tools to install - no need to have a complete tool box or anything. Make sure to follow all the instructions carefully - there are a couple details that you could miss that would make installation a little difficult. For example - make sure you're not installing things upside down, make sure everything is facing the same way as in the manual (that's not just for aesthetics!) When putting your rack into the hitch, having two people might make it a little easier. I had a small bit of trouble adjusting it so the hole for the bolt lined up between the two parts (I got it, but another person would have made it a little less frustrating). My 29" small Anthem fits perfectly! I might leave another review in a few months after I've really used this thing, but so far I'm excited 488648

What do I like about it? - Really easy to mount your bike on it. Much better than scratching your car with hooks and cables like other hitches. - Easy to install. - As long as you keep the screws tight, the rack is really steady (the rack was very steady carrying two 30lb mountain bikes). - Can carry a variety of tire sizes (I have a road bike and a mountain bike) What don't I like about it? - It wasn't easy putting on the lock at the base of the hitch. Whether it's my car or where I installed the hitch, I'm not sure, but it got ugly :) - It's big, and when folded it's visible in my rear view mirror. Again, it's related to where I installed my hitch but I can still see everything and it's not a safety issue. - It doesn't have light deflectors, which I added on my own. I would imagine that anything sticking out from the car profile should have some sort of a alarming signs. One thing, which is probably my fault since I did not read the instructions, when I first removed my mountain bike from the rack instead of releasing the back strap first, I released the front arm which caused the bike to tilt over and hit my back windshield. Big mistake on my part. Nothing serious happened, just a small scratch, but from that moment on I release the back strap FIRST and then the front arm. Sound trivial now, just don't be like me... 296488

I absolutely love this bike rack, and use it every day that the weather permits. While I usually leave it on my car, it is quite easy to remove and put back on. I have no problems lowering it to access the back hatch of my car. As a very petite woman, I was worried it would be too big or heavy to maneuver. But I have no problems getting it off or on. I can put my bike on it and have the bike secured in just seconds. Sometimes I pull up at the trailhead at the same time as other people. I am always the first one done with getting the bike loaded up. I usually ride alone, but when riding with a friend, it has been easy to load two bikes, and they both stay securely in their place, with no rubbing or scratching. I also had no problems putting it together by myself. It is perhaps the first item I’ve ever assembled that had the instructions written in correct and easy to understand English. I also want to say that the company has excellent customer service. I had called them with questions before purchasing, and they got back to me very promptly and answered all my questions. They also followed up with me one year later to check on how I liked their product. I consider them to be a first class company to do business with. 565424

Very satisfied. Assembly went pretty well, not super smooth or quick, but do theses kinds of things ever? I had to ream out a couple of holes with a drill bit because they weren't aligned properly. If memory serves me correctly, it was were the lock cap at the top of the arms. It won't be major if you have any amount of tool experience. We traveled from central Illinois to the Upper Peninsula, MI, then to central OH, back into Michigan a bit and then home to central IL. At least one road in the UP was back woods rough; it fed the logging areas, to give an idea. Both bikes rode like contented babies the entire trip. Very easy to get them on and off the rack. And I like how the rack pivots down for access to the hatch, and up to get out of the way when bikes aren't on it. 445354

Bought the Transfer 2 for more secure transport of a pair of lovely step-through frame bicycles. The assembly process was straightforward and event-free, thanks to unusually clear step-by-step instructions and a well-designed product. All of the necessary tools were included in the package. We've done one 5-hour trip so far and the bikes were stable and very happy on the rack while doing 75+ mph on the highway, also when crossing train tracks. The rack's back-tilt feature makes it easy to put the hatchback up for rear access. Getting the bikes on and off the rack is similarly a snap. Could not be happier so far. BTW, got the locks as well; that did NOT come with instructions although a video walk-through is available on the eTrailer site. 548182

We saw another Kuat rack at our local train head. Theirs wasn't this one, but was their top of the line unit. The owner rode up while we were loading on our old heavy rack, so we asked about theirs. And I watched how easy theirs was to load. We looked on-line, and decided this unit would work for us. Product was packaged nicely & all parts were there. The instructions are pictorial & not always real clear (think Ikea furniture), but the assembly is pretty logical and straightforward. I'm anEngineer, so your keep that in mind when assemblying the unit. If you are mechanically inclined, it will be easy. If you are expecting exact, clear, photos of the exact unit (the phots on some steps were not this unit), then you may have to reason what is to be done at that step. I contacted Kuat with that comment about their instructions included with this kit. It's a nice rack, easy to use. 466388

I am very satisfied with this bike rack it took a long time to finally choose one it was between the kuat and a thule I am glad I chose this one it is my second rack the first being a hanging rack (not so good for girl bikes or kid bikes) this one fits all the bikes in our household a traditional mountain bike a hybrid bike and a kids bike all snug down tightly not worried at all about them on the road! the rack itself needed some assembly I did it myself I did watch the video (very helpful) I had no trouble, I attached to the vehicle loaded the bikes it is stable not a lot of movement I am very pleased, fits nicely on my vehicle I have a 2013 Ford Edge with a 2in hitch nothing touches the car and the bikes do not touch each other and it is very easy to load. This is my 3rd or 4th order from etrailer and as always not problem received order in 2 days. 522472

I love this bike rack. I am a 55 year old women with a 14 year old daughter who does triathlons. We are both small people. Manhandling a couple of bikes above our heads make the thought of going riding intimidating. This rack solved all of those problems. You lift the bike approx. a foot and push the lever arm onto the front tire and away you go. In addition, the rack folds up and down with one push on the handle so the trunk is completely accessible if you leave the rack on the back of the car ( I drive a Subaru Forrester SUV) instead of taking it on and off after each ride. Putting it together took awhile but was not rocket science, but you only have to do it once. It is kind of heavy when you put it in the hitch, but it is heavy duty and I have no fears that it will break or get damaged. Plan to use this for a long time. 407323

This is a super sweet bike rack. Very easy to set up. Instructions are clear and simple. The ease of use is phenomenal. And it looks great when not in use also. Now it is simple to take the little ones bike along for rides. 514744

I was initially looking at a different maker/model, but it was back-ordered and this was my second choice. I decided to go ahead and get it, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The unit is really fantastic. The arms hold securely without touching any painted or carbon parts, its simple to load and unload, and holds securely without wobbling or wiggling. I would strongly recommend getting the locking kit; I didn't think I needed or wanted it, but the staff at etrailer suggested it as the lock for the hitch pin is proprietary and it would be difficult or impossible to find another that fits it. I'm glad I listened to their suggestion as now the rack and bikes can be secured easily and I don't have to worry about anything disappearing when I'm away from my vehicle. Big thanks to etrailer! 515018

The instructions for assembling the bike rack were easy to follow and all items were included. I was really impressed with the quality of the unit. The frame is really sturdy and well made. It installed easily onto our trailer hitch and the bikes went on easily and on a relatively short (20 mile) drive the bikes unit and the bikes remained very stable. The unit easily folds up and down and we have easy access to the rear storage area of our Tiguan with the empty rack or with it folded down with the bikes loaded. Time and use will determine if the rack will hold up and continue to impress; however, in my opinion this rack is great and a much better value than the far more expensive racks on the market. I would recommend this rack to anyone who needs to transport 2 bikes. 560954

The delivery of this was very timely! And, my husband assembled it in about an hour. Blue tape on it was tough to remove, but otherwise the assembly went well.. I can lift it and put it on my Lexus. It is easy for me to use and I LOVE IT!!! I am 62 years old with an elbow injury that can sometimes make lifting difficult. We have to turn off the parking assist when it is attached, but that is a minor inconvenience. I have only driven on my property to check out stability, but we have gravel roads and steep hills. It was very stable. I would highly recommend this product. The price was excellent when compared to other like bike racks. So far, this is the best bike rack ever! Please note, I am very very particular! 332725

Solid construction, good fitment. Everything went together as instructions stated. I purchased this because I didn't want anything to contact the bike frame and this rack works as advertised. Only issue is that I have carbon fiber rims on my MTB and the rear wheel anchor strap is hard plastic and scratched the rim. I've resolved this by cleaning the anchor spot and installing a soft cloth patch under the strap (Kuat you listening?). Also, others complain about the threaded hitch pin, however, I like it. No rattling, it helps keep the rack anchored, and the bikes don't touch under any driving conditions, also, it is a theft deterrent. Otherwise, very satisfied with rack & etrailer's product info/videos and prompt delivery. 303789

Ordered a bike rack online. Easy to order, delivery was very quick. Product was packaged perfectly. Little confusing on the lock kits that i order with the rack. I ordered two because it was not clear or I did not read it properly that one kit had two locks. Now I have an extra two locks. may send it back but not sure yet. Overall excellent service. The rack itself was a Kuat, top of the line brand although I did not buy the most expensive one. I am very handy and it still took me three hours to put it together. A few holes just off and you had to work hard to get them to line up and work but in the end with a lot of patience I got it done. Nice rack and I would buy it again and I would buy it again through etrailer.com 277764

Delivery on time as scheduled; trailer staff was very helpful in answering questions about usability at the time we ordered. Assembly was easy enough; the enclosed would have been sufficient, but the KUAT video online gave nice confirmation. This rack is to replace a Yakima we returned that was just too heavy for my wife to put up and down on her own. This one is much more user-friendly, and the foot pedal to raise and lower the rack is very easy. The only thing bringing it down to a good is that the rack appears to be a bit loose in the hitch (we have the 1.25 inch hitch). I may have to rig something up to keep it a little tighter. It's not horrible, but gives me some concern about taking bikes on a longer trip. 224722

Product arrived intact and was packaged well. Assembly instructions were very good and the rack went together without issue. Nice that Kuat provided all the tools necessary to assemble and use the rack. I have a bad back, so being able to load/unload the bikes without a lot of bending over is a nice feature wth the "U" shaped rack design and the reason I purchased this rack. Needed to call etrailer CS to find out when the rack would ship. Shipping was held up due to the hitch lock I also purchased that was out of stock. Cathy at etrailer sent the rack via priority shipping at no cost to me and provided an alternative hitch lock with priority shipping, again at no cost to me. Good experience. 511486

I bought the kuat transfer 2 bike rack. As soon as I received it I put it on my Ford Focus and haven't taken it off since. I mostly use it with my Kona Process and my Salsa Beargrease fatbike. The large trays for the tires work well for both. However, I did need to purchase a strap extension to make it over the fatbike tire. No biggy. The rack works awesome. Its easy to tilt up and down. Rarely is it in the way. It looks a little goofy on my car to be honest but its so easy to put my bikes on and off I'll probably never take it off. Summer, fall, winter, and spring. I bike all year round. The rack has held up wonderfully well so far. Heres hoping the good performance continues.. 356520

etrailer web site was easy to use and search for the product that I ended up buying. The Kuat came in today and I had it assembled within 1.5 hours. Had a bit of a problem with one bolt which did not line up at first but was able to get it to fit. After I had it assembled and installed on my SUV I put both bikes on the rack and took it for a test drive! Drove to a friends house to show him the rack and he was impressed enough to where he was going to order one for himself even though he has 3 racks in the garage already. I was VERY pleased with this rack. The bikes did not move and I did not hear any noise coming from the rack. Looks like a keeper! 491938

Assembly of this rack was fairly straight forward. Instructions consisted mainly of illustrations. I had one issue during assembly where I overtightened bolts and fatigued plastic mating surfaces. The directions gave no caution or guidance regarding how tight to make things. I thought, tighter is always better (wrong). Kuat customer service was very helpful and shipped out replacement parts no questions asked. I am totally satisfied with the rack function, fit and ease of use. I have yet to take long trips but, in local use, it has performed admirably. I was also totally satisfied with etrailer's order fulfillment and customer support. 566579

Great rack except for one design/manufacturing flaw. The end caps that cover the openings on the two arms on the main (U shaped) part of the rack don't fit properly and leave gaps on the side plenty wide enough for rain/water to get in when the rack is in the up position. There's no way for the water to get out unless you drill a couple of holes in it. It will rust and probably smell funky unless you empty it whenever it rains. I called Kuat and they sent me two other caps that didn't fit correctly either. The customer service agent said they were aware of it. Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to make the right size cap. 528675

Kuat two bike transfer, great bike rack, best value that I found and the lightest in in weight! Easy to assemble, holds two 33 lb bikes very secure! Easy to load and remove bikes as well as on and off vehicle. You will find the service and the product will exceed your expectations, as will you find the support from Kuat! You won't go wrong if you stay with E-Gtrailer for any of their products! Thanks E-Trailer!!! 312728

Good, hold down has slipped off a few times. I thought about trying to glue a piece of rubber on the hook to grip the tire a little better. tires are narrow. what do you think!

Dave J - 11/01/2017

Thanks for your follow up Dave. I have reached out to my contacts at Kuat, and if you would like to place a bit or rubber, on the hook, or potentially use an old bike tire tube on the hook feel free. It sounds like the issue is more of hook placement on the tire. It is best if the hook is placed as close to the front fork of the bike as possible, and below the apex (highest) point of the tire. My representative assured me that even on narrower tires, the hook should have no problem securing the bike. If this information is not helpful please let me know and we can investigate further.

Very pleased with etrailer prices and shipping, I got the Kuat Transfer 2 bike rack in under 2 weeks, when the web site said they were sold out. They had the best price I found, so getting in under 2 weeks was pleasing. Iv'e had the bike rack on my Toyota Corolla now for over a month. I just leave it on the car. Bought a hitch lock, I have a cable I run through wheels and safety chain holes to lock the bikes. I ride a carbon Giant, the Kuat Transfer 2 is just right. Bike rides perfect on this rack, doesn't sway at all, stays put. Assembly was very straight forward instructions were well laid out. m grove 409853

This bike rack is amazing. My husband and i put it together and installed it in about an hour. He tightened it but other than that I might have been able to build it myself. I used it the next day on a bike trip with a friend. We loaded and unloaded the bikes 6 times, and could not believe how easy it was. The bikes travelled without jiggling around and i felt very secure with them there. I like how it tilts up so you can leave it on the car, and tilts forward so you can access the back. I have a 2016 Tiguan. I am pretty sure my friend is going to buy one now. We loved it. 573969

Shipping was very fast from USA to Canada. On time and much faster than I thought when I ordered. It was 5 days total and in time for use. The parts went together easily and the hitch mount carrier was on my vehicle very fast and easy. It takes only seconds to secure the bikes on the rack. It folds up easily when bikes not on rack. I am thinking of mounting some trailer lights to the unit to plug into a four post flat trailer plug. If etrailer.com has such a product I would be interested. Thanks etrailer.com for excellent service in this quality product. Looks great on my SUV. 427481

I can’t say enough about Etrailer and the people I worked with. Knowledgeable and friendly. My Kuat Transfer 2 arrived in two days. It took about 45 minutes to assemble and it was on my truck, ready to go. Easy to use, built solidly and an excellent value. Special thanks to Erica for telling me about the locks made for it. They fit perfectly and are a necessary option. Two Trek Verve 3 bikes are now securely carried wherever we go. If you’re looking for a two bike, hitch mounted carrier, look no further than this. And, buy it from Etrailer. Best online experience, ever. 485479

This is as nice a two bike, platform hitch rack as I've seen at any price.( Getting it through etrailer made it even less expensive than everywhere else.) Everything about this rack speaks of quality. The only negative review that I saw said if left on the vehicle for a couple of years caused it to rust out. I sprayed WD-40 liquid lithium on the inside of all the steel tubes. (I learned to do this with all my archery tree stands.) I'm hoping that my wife and I are good to go for many years. And the rack sure does look nice on our new VW Tiguan! 485892

Overall the price and function I feel are good, however, the product I received had "hairline" cracks on the outside coating (whatever it is) near the portion that fits into the receiver and literally on the first use of tilting the unit up and down, the outside coating is now chipping and flaking away. Should not be like this. I tried to get some pictures as best I could though the hairline cracks are somewhat difficult to see but in the other picture you can see where the outside coating is literally already coming off before I even used it. 459670

Ordered this carrier because I had a difficult time mounting my mountain bike on a frame carrier. Arrived 2 days after I ordered the bike rack. Assembly was easy. Suggest using the tools provided to get the correct torque and avoid over tightening the bolts. I was using a 3/8 ratchet with an hex-head driver and ended up pushing a spacer too far into the assembly. Fortunately it was an easy redo. The finish on the rack appears to be very good quality and the components look sturdy. With the 2 inch hitch it rides quiet on the car. 430137

The Kuat Transfer 2 is the first rack I've purchased, but I did some homework before buying it. So far we've been extemely pleased with it, and would highly recommend it. It took a little time to put it together, but very happy with the product and craftsmanship. Bikes are easy to load, unload, and it holds them very well with no movement. Also, etrailer had a fantastic price, much better than local bike store, and customer service guy (Noah) was extememly helpful. Highly recommend etrailer and this Kuat Bike Rack !! 541173

I ordered a Kuat Transfer 2 for my 2017 Subaru Outback with a 2" DrawTite hitch. Michael H cautioned me that the Transfer 2 would fit my vehicle but might not fold up when not in use due to proximity to the tailgate. I received the rack promptly and assembled it with no problems. It is a bit heavier than I would like but very sturdy. The rack will actually fold up OK on my car but as expected there is not much clearance. I will soon try it all out and report any issues. So far, very good experince with the rack and e-trailer. 295045

Product is as described and reviewed by every place I sought a review. Front wheel trays are a bit bulky. The add-on locking system that I purchased is mediocre but better than nothing. I added another cable to ensure the wheels were locked up while I was away in addition to the frame. When used in transit the I didn't notice any unusual swaying/rocking/noises coming from the rear of the vehicle which was great. Quality product at a reasonable price. Top of the line would be nice but this does the job. 310360

Just received this in. Assembly was easy. Surprised at the supplied tools provided for the assembly. The quality of the frame is great. I have a 1/4 hitch. Fits perfect with no wobble. Really pleased with my purchase. Fits both of my road bikes secure. Ease of mounting tje bake closest to my car was easy. Compared to my old rack it was quit difficult. Also like the way it folds upright when not in use. The footprint is way smaller. No worries on hitting anything with the rack while backing up. 440050

Great rack for the money. Ordered it on Monday and it was delivered Friday. Took 1.5 hours to assemble and contrary to other reviews, the instructions were straight forward. Plan on using the rack for a small frame heavy kids bike that even a crossbar adapter was not useful on a traditional rack. I also like the step-through design as this will allow me to rack one or two bikes and provide access to a folding recumbent trike in the back of my SUV. Thanks to etrailer for recommending this. 550260

Took less than 30min to put together and is simple to operate. Was a little nervous of how stable bike would be with only the front wheel hold down, BUT once i had it locked down I took it for a test drive over some bumpy roads and was extremely impressed with how solid the bike was held. 473089

The Kuat TS02G was easy to assemble. The bikes are secure and don't wobble around. The foot release is "just" reachable when two bikes are mounted. Luckily, you don't have to reach the foot release when raising the loaded rack back to the upright position. The action makes it very easy to access the back of the Honda CR-V. The rack is on the heavy side, but not too heavy. I am able to insert the rack into the hitch by myself, along with loading and unloading the bikes. 409661

This bike rack has been great. Got it originally because I wanted something that my wife was able to use by herself and this fit the bill. Very easy and quick to get bikes on and off. Never had any issues with stability either. We've taken 2 bikes on several cross country trips from PA to UT and back and also PA to FL. Folds conveniently and the full lowered position allows me to load and unload our recumbent trike in the SUV without removing the rack. 571297

Typical etrailer service/products - awesome. Great prices, fast shipping, great instructions. Hitch installation was under 10 minutes thanks to the 2007 Vibe having pre-drilled and threaded holes for the hitch. Rack installation took about 30 minutes. Everything fit perfect the first time. Rack is strong and secure and fits all of our bikes both road 50cm-57cm frame sizes and mountain (full-suspension and hard tail) small-large frame sizes perfectly. 222065

Shipping was fast and arrived a day sooner than expected. The components were well packaged with all the nuts bolts etc separated into their own packages so it was easy to sort through while following the directions. Included also was a wrench and a few allen wrenches so I needed no extra tools for assembly. The directions were easy to follow and I was done with assembly in under an hour. All the components seem very sturdy and well built. 500412

Love the rack - easy to assemble and easy to remove/install as needed. Takes less than a minute to install or remove. Holds whichever combination of 2 bikes I'm taking that day (road bikes, mountain bikes, even the cruiser). Bikes are stable and secure the whole trip. No frame contact at all. I don't even have to take the front wheel off! The optional locking kit gives piece of mind and prevents opportunity theft. 561940
