Features to know about

Just Enough Heat When the Temperature Dips

Temperatures can dip a little lower than comfortable during the spring and fall camping months. Cooler cabin temps can make for great sleep, but you also don't want to get so chilly that you have to stumble around, half asleep in the middle of the night to find a blanket. And you know if you turn the furnace on, you'll end up too hot to sleep. That's where this electric heater kit comes in handy. It installs into your Coleman-Mach AC and takes the edge off so you don't have to go through the trouble of digging out extra blankets or kick your furnace on and sweat all night. It runs quietly on 120V power, whether you're plugged in at a campground or running a generator, and helps keep you comfortable so you can extend your camping seasons.

Sorry to hear that, Thomas. I will say heat strips are just going to take the immediate bite out of the air and will not be a heater, per se. This only pushes 5,600 BTUs, so it will really just keep things from freezing. What did you install this in?

  • Looking for Heat Pump for Coleman Mach AC Unit
Hey Sam, it sounds like you are looking for the Electric Heater Kit for Coleman-Mach Medium and Low-Profile RV Air Conditioners # CM96RR which puts a small heater into the Coleman Mach units.

  • Would Coleman Mach 10 RV AC Unit Have Heat Strip
Hey Dan, if your Coleman Mach 10 had the heat pump I am sure you would know by now. It should be listed in the product name on the unit but you can also look at the product number on the unit. If it starts with 45004 then it is a model that has the heat pump. Now if you had the heat strip that would have had to have been added on later. It would be the part # CM96RR so you can look for that. It would be manually controlled with it's black knob. The SoftStart # SSR54FR would be a really...

  • Heat Strip For The Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 RV Air Conditioner CM48RR
Hi Beau! To add a heat strip to the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 RV Air Conditioner System - Ductless - 13,500 Btu - Textured Black # CM48RR, you are going to want the Coleman-Mach Electric Heater Kit for RV Air Conditioners - 120V # CM96RR. This will fit the medium and low profile Coleman-Mach ACs, and the Signature Mach 3 is a medium profile AC, so you are good to go. This heat strip kit also includes everything you need to add it on, so no other parts will be needed to get it installed...

  • AC Unit Complete Kit With Heat Strip For Chilly Mornings - RV With Ducted AC Vents In Ceiling
Hey Cheryl, if you want a comfort-minded setup, I’d recommend either the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR or the Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR, depending on the size of your RV and how hard your current AC has to work in summer. Then I’d pair it with the optional heat strip # CM96RR. That gives you a complete ducted AC replacement for summer, plus a little electric heat to take the chill off on cool mornings. I just wouldn’t treat the heat strip like a furnace replacement. It’s more...

  • Is It Easy To Replace Old RV AC Unit With Complete Kit From Coleman Mach?
Hey Jared, these are about as straightforward as a full AC replacement gets because they’re complete matched systems. You will however need to hardwire the ac unit into the old wiring, as you would with any ac unit. So whether you go with the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR or Coleman-Mach Roughneck Mach 3 # CM95RR (for more off-road use), you’re getting the rooftop unit, the ducted air distribution box, and the wall thermostat together. You’re not piecing parts together from different...

  • Heat Strip for Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 RV Air Conditioner System
Hey Mike, welcome back! The correct heat strip for the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 # CM32RR is the Electric Heater Kit for Coleman-Mach Medium and Low-Profile RV Air Conditioners # CM96RR. There is an empty location in the ADB to mount it, and then it plugs right in with that 2-prong connector. You won't have to hardwire anything. Any big trips coming up once you get the 3rd AC installed on your Montana?

  • Will Heat Strip Help In Chilly Weather Camping Using Coleman Mach AC Units?
Hey Cheryl, I’d think of the Coleman heat strip # CM96RR as a comfort add-on, not a true furnace replacement. It’s a great option if you want to take the chill out of the cool mornings, but I would not count on it to do the same job as your RV furnace in genuinely cold weather. That applies across the ducted systems you’re looking at, including units like the Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR, Roughneck Mach 15 # CM65RR, Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR, and Roughneck Mach 3 # CM95RR. It’s a nice upgrade...

  • Does Coleman Mach AC Unit Come With Gasket And Heating Element And Thermostat?
Hey there Jordan! The Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 RV Air Conditioner System - Ductless # CM38RR does indeed come with the gasket necessary for installation. There is no thermostat on the wall as you mentioned, so you just use the controls on the ac distribution box. Then for the heat strip you will want to add Electric Heater Kit for Coleman-Mach # CM96RR since it's not included. That should get you taken care of! Is there anything else you had questions about? And do you have any...
