Question:
I have a 2020 Forest River Salem with ceiling ducts, and I’m looking at the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 13,500 Btu unit. Is CM97RR everything I need, or is it just the rooftop AC?

Expert Reply:
Hey Amara! The Coleman-Mach # CM97RR is the rooftop AC unit only, so you’ll still need the correct interior components to finish the system. Since your Salem has ceiling ducts, you’d pair it with the Coleman-Mach ChillGrill Air Distribution Box # CM36RR.
That setup gives you a 13,500 Btu cool-only Coleman-Mach system for a ducted RV. The rooftop unit fits a standard 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch opening and has a listed cooling draw of 12.8 amps, which makes it one of the easier ones here to manage on limited power.
It’s also compatible with the optional Coleman-Mach Electric Heat Kit # CM96RR if you want a little electric warmth for cool mornings. Are you replacing an older Coleman-Mach unit now, Amara?
