Question:
I’m adding AC to a little weekend camper I’m building, and I want something strong but simple with no ductwork. Would the Coleman-Mach CM73RR be a good fit?

Expert Reply:
Good morning Benson, yes the Coleman-Mach # CM73RR is a solid pick for that kind of build. It’s a complete ductless 15,000 Btu system, so you get the rooftop AC and the matching ceiling air distribution box together.
The controls are right at the ceiling, and the air blows directly from the air box instead of needing ductwork. It fits a standard 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch roof opening, and you can add the Coleman-Mach heater kit # CM96RR later if you want light electric heat. Are you cutting a new roof opening or using an existing vent opening, Benson? Sounds like you'll be cutting your own since you're building the camper still. Just make sure you follow along in the instructions and carefully cut the roof opening size.
