Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax two-inch hitch receiver lock and trigger style coupler latch lock set. Now, whether your trailer is being stored or is hitched up for use, this kit is going to include the locks for your trailer coupler and hitch receiver that you are looking for. So this includes a receiver lock for your Class III and Class IV two-inch trailer hitch receivers, and a coupler lock that has a seven-eighths of an inch span, covering your hitch and coupler security needs. So these locks do feature an advance locking cylinder.
They're gonna be harder to pick and drill than your standard locks with tube keys, and you are going to get four keys altogether. And so it's gonna be a little more challenging to duplicate. So with these keys, they are keyed alike, so one key will operate both of these locks without any problem whatsoever. And so these are gonna be very easy to unlock for when you're ready to lock something up. And as you can see, they are weather resistant.
They come with a cap here, it's a rubber cap that seals really well. So that's gonna keep dirt and moisture out, protecting the lock for all seasons. With this trigger latch lock, I just wanted to show you how easy this was gonna be to use. So I got a coupler here, I'm just gonna run that through, and give the key a turn here to lock this back up. So as you can see, I've got it locked up, so that's gonna prevent this from being coupled or uncoupled while this is in here.
And then, again, very easy just to unlock that. So very easy to use, and everything is, these locks are stainless steel, so that is going to help resist rust and corrosion. So I'm gonna, again, use the same key here just to show you how everything's keyed alike. And I mentioned that these caps do have a good seal. You can see that the caps hold on really tight, so that's good.
So, again, you're gonna be able to have these locks in operation in no time, locking up your trailer hitch receiver and your coupler. So, again, very durable construction, stainless steel is gonna resist rust and corrosion. Let me give you some measurements of these locks. So beginning with our hitch lock here, looking at the overall length, just end to end, taking a rough measurement, six inches. And then measuring what's typically called the span, or the inside pin length, we're sitting pretty close to two and three quarters inches. And then, looking at the overall length of our trigger style coupler latch lock, roughly four inches, maybe a little bit under. So hopefully, that gives you a good idea of what to expect. So if you decide that this set is going to be exactly what you need, we would love to hear back from you regarding how you're gonna be using these locks, letting us know how these are working out for you too. So whether that means dropping a review on this product page, shooting us an email, or giving us a call, we would love to hear back from you, and even see photos of your setup. Send us some photos so we can take a look to see how you're gonna be using this lock set. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
The Trimax gear scores 5 out of 5. However, etrailer themselves scored an 8 out of 5 this time. When my original order was going to be delayed, they found a better choice from Trimax that seems to be more suitable. Way to go, Amy J.
