When I did my search I specifically asked for a receiver hitch for my make and model and this pulled up. Will it work on my CC?

The etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98906 is NOT a fit for your 2013 VW CC. This hitch fits only the Tiguan (2009 through 2017).
Your CC can be fitted with a smaller 1-1/4-inch light-duty Class I hitch IF it is not the 4Motion version. For your CC, we have the Curt # C11091. The installation of this hitch will require drilling and trimming.
