Hello! I need to buy a bike rack for a 2012 VW Tiguan, but Im having trouble figuring out which options would work with my car. Can you tell me what I will need? Thanks!

You didn't mention the type of bike rack you wanted - a hitch-mount or trunk-mount so I'll recommend options for both on your 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan. A hitch-mounted rack is a much, much better option to keep your bikes stable and is definitely the option I recommend, though a trunk-mounted rack can work if you only take your bikes out a few times a year, for example.

For the hitch-mounted rack, let's start with the hitch, and the one that you need for your 2012 Tiguan is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98906.
