Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Trimax Razor Aluminum Ball Mount for two inch hitches, has a two inch drop and an 8,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The solid shank right here is what'll slide into your vehicle's two inch hitch receiver, and you secure it in place on your receiver using a 5/8 inch diameter pin or pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are not included. We do sell those separate on website.
The ball platform right up here provides the mounting point for your hitch ball. Again, the hitch ball is also sold separately. The ball hole diameter that the hitch ball fit in is three quarters of an inch. Now this ball mount does offer a two inch drop, and that's measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. This fixed design will give you the exact drop that you need.
This does also come available in a four inch, six inch, eight inch, and a 10 inch drop. Now this ball mount is built from 100% forged aluminum so it won't corrode over time, and it is a solid aluminum construction, so it makes it very easy to handle without any excess weight. The weight rating again, which is stamped right here on the front, 8,000 pounds, the maximum tongue weight is again stamped on the front, says 800 pounds. And the last thing I want to just give you is the measurement, the length of it, and the length on a ball mount is always measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. So if we go center to center, it's gonna be right at eight and a half inches.
But that's gonna do it for a look at this Trimax Razor Aluminum Ball Mount for two inch hitches with the two inch drop.
