Different trailers almost always mean different coupler heights. Hello, neighbor! Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Weigh Safe 180 hitch with a two ball ball mount for your three-inch hitches rated at 21,000 pounds capacity with nice polished chrome balls. Now, folks, this two-inch ball is rated at 8,000 pound capacity while the two and five 16th-inch ball is rated at 21,000 pounds capacity. The maximum tow weight for this whole unit is 2,200 pounds. Now, some quick dimensions on here, from the center of this pin hole to the center of the ball is right at eight and a half inches. And then back to the farther pin hole to the center of the ball, center to center, is nine and five-eighth inches.
Now, from the back of the shank to the center of this first hole, I got one and seven-eighth inches. And then from the back of the shank to the center of this hole, I got three inches exactly. Now, as I said before, this gives you a six-inch drop or a seven-inch rise depending on what orientation you have it in and where you have the ball at. These rise or drop increments are one-inch increments. Now, as you can see, you get two different size balls like I went over.
It's adjustable. It's super easy to adjust. The whole shank assembly is one piece of billet at 6061 T6 aluminum and the mounting platform here as well is that same aluminum. So super strong, super lightweight. (hitch knocking) The balls are hardened steel with a nice chrome plating over them.
So, everything here is corrosion resistant. It's not gonna rust on you anytime soon and it's all SAE J684 certified. (inhales) Now, I wanna show you how to use this real quick. You just simply take off the protective rubber dust cover here off of the dual locking pin. (cover knocking) And I wanna point out you just get this locking pin to slide the ball for down.
A hitch pin, you should probably already have one, but if you need one, especially a lockable one that is sold separately. You can get them here at etrailer.com as well. You unlock the pin, pull the dual pin out. (pin scraping and knocking) Now, that pin itself is aluminum housing, but all the lock and everything is hardened steel, that way no one can just cut through it or anything. So, as I said, you can slide it up or down as needed, rise or drop. You wanna swap the two-inch ball to the two and five-16th, simply slide it up off, (metal scraping) flip it 180 and right back in place. Now, your locks on the other side, (metal scraping) and you simply line the holes, lock it in place, (metal scraping) put your dust cover back on, and now you're good to go with your two and five-16th inch ball. Folks, this is a very simple but yet nice robust ball mount. This is again the Weigh Safe 180 hitch two-ball mount for the three-inch shanks, rated at 21,000-pound capacity. I'm Steven. Fast shipping as always! While I haven't had the chance to use this hitch yet, it looks like a high-quality product straight out of the box. I plan to test it this weekend and will update this review if I remember after putting it to use.
Very solid and beautifully finished. Fits well on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4, with the newer 2-1/2" receiver, allowing the exact height necessary to level my toy hauler. Ball mount is packaged in foam to ensure it is pristine when it arrives.
Got the locking dual pin for it, as well as the BOLT locks for hitch and coupler, so none of this pretty stuff walks away. Very happy with the whole setup.

Hitch works well. Seems it could be a bit tighter when in receiver on truck but overall is a good purchase.
Good product feels very sturdy. My only critique is that it has too much play causing a lot of rattling. The manufacturer should have a tightening bolt so that after installation the two components tighten up and there’s no play.
This is a solid hitch, the double pin on the ball side locks everything in tight no rattling and love the locking mechanism on this unit… Price is excellent and delivery time wasn’t that long… Great job to you guys at etrailer
Great product. Craftsmanship is top notch.
Easy to use and very sturdy built. My only complaint is the standard coated Balls rusted pretty quickly and look bad. I Should have went with the upgraded stainless steel. Also the salt from 1 winter has left some corrosion on the aluminum of the hitch and the sticker fell off. None of these things affect the function, but i wish it would have stayed looking as nice as it did when it was new.

Excellent looking hitch - But surprised it didn’t come with a receiver pin - since other (2-2.5”) pins are too short to work!
