TorkLift Hitch, Extension, and Tie Downs for 1996 Ford F-350

Hey Josh! I can definitely help you get what you need. The hitch is the easy part, you'll need the TorkLift SuperHitch # TLF1000. This will fit your F-350 as long as you have the standard or step bumper. It is rated for 17,000 lbs so as long as your truck is able to tow it, the hitch can handle it.

Then for the frame mounted tie-downs, if you have no running boards or cab length running boards you need the TorkLift Tie Downs # TL96DR. If you have wheel to wheel running boards use # TL37NR instead. You will also need turnbuckles like the TorkLift Locking FastGun # TLS9526-2-LK.

For the extension you will need to measure to find the length you need. If you have the camper mounted in the truck, measure from the face of the truck's rear bumper to the outside edge of the camper's bumper. If the camper is not mounted on the truck:

1. Measure from the inside of the front of your truck bed to the outside face of the truck's rear bumper.
2. Measure the camper's overall floor length from the rubber bumpers at the front to the outside edge of the rear bumper.
3. Find the difference between these 2 figures by subtracting. The difference is the length of the extension that you need.

Once you know the length you can choose from the following:

-TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension - 42" Long # TLE1542 (wiring extension # TLW6042)

-TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension - 48" Long # TLE1548 (wiring extension # TLW6048)

-TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension - 60" Long # TLE1560 (wiring extension # TLW6060)

It is also worth mentioning that anything beyond the 28" extension will require using a weight distribution hitch to have a high enough capacity to handle your 7k trailer setup.

Very satisfied with the hitch setup I haul a 9ft camper but it has a step on the back so I needed a 32in extension I just wanted to make sure everything was within its rating limits With the camper I tow a 10k tilt trailer with a 2000 wrangler on it with that extension and wait centered on the trailer I had to use weight distribution bars to get some weight back on my steer axle. Everything tows nice now

@Joe thanks for sharing your setup! That's a great real-world example of why the weight distribution hitch is required with the longer SuperTruss extensions. Getting that weight back on the steer axle can make a big difference in how the whole setup handles.
